Now in its fifth year, Dapper Day at the Disneyland Resorts is a twice-annual event that encourages guests to come to the parks dressed in their most sophisticated and stylish threads. And with an expected 20,000 guests participating, that’s one heck of a fashionable mob!
Of course you’re probably wondering to yourself, what exactly qualifies for this dapper dress code?
Let’s start there.
Here’s what Dapper Day guidelines specify on their FAQ page:
“We do not aim to recreate a specific period. All sophisticated attire is encouraged from vintage-inspired classics to chic contemporary looks. Active and retired military are encouraged to wear your dress blues or service uniforms if you like. (Please note costumes or cosplay are better suited for other events.)”

Friday, September 18 is the official Dapper Day at park, but there are a whole host of events for both and Friday and Saturday to make this an extradorinaiy dapper weekend.
For starters, folks attending on Friday can hang out together (and get some sweet group photos) during a meet-up scheduled for the Mark Twain Riverboat Ride, plus there will be another group ride on the King Arthur Carousel around sunset.
An after-party in Downtown Disney will top things off for Friday night, and events for Saturday include a special slide-show prepared by pop culture humorist and author Charles Phoenix (taking place at the AMC Theaters in Downtown Disney), plus the first ever Dapper Day car show.
Both Friday and Saturday also feature a Dapper Day expo marketplace at the Disneyland Hotel where you can everything from vintage and contemporary clothing and accessories, to bath and beauty products, and more.
All in all… that’s a lot of dapper!

Weekend Schedule
DAPPER DAY EXPO: Friday from noon to 8:00pm and Saturday from 11:00am – 8:00pm.

FOLLY: The Official After Party for Dapper Day. 9:30pm-2:00am upstairs at Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen in Downtown Disney, Anaheim CA. (cost: $15)
CHARLES PHOENIX RETRO DISNEYLAND SLIDE SHOW: DAPPER DAY EDITION! Saturday at noon. (cost: $25)
DAPPER DAY CAR SHOW: Saturday, September 19 from 11:00am – 5:00pm
As a reminder, Dapper Day outings to Disney Parks are not private ticketed events, but simply days to visit the parks in style with other fashionable guests.
