Enchanted: Forest of Light Returns to Descanso Gardens This Fall

Posted by

Looking back on 2016, one of our favorite experiences of the fall/winter season was taking a nighttime walk through Descanso Gardens to preview Enchanted: Forest of Light.

The 2016 version of the Forest of Light featured 10 unique installations showcasing different aspects of the gardens, from a Lightwave Lake to a field of flowering lights to a ‘Symphony of Oaks.’  It was, in a word, memorizing.

And now it’s set to return for 2017.

Descanso Gardens just released information via social media on the dates for this season’s run, along with specific dates for when tickets go on sale, with members of the garden getting a two-week head start on the general public.

Details are still forthcoming, but here’s what we know so far: Enchanted: Forest of Light will run from November 19 through January 7. Tickets go on sale to Descanso Gardens members on October 2 at noon, with tickets for the general public available on October 16 at noon. Timed tickets are required (and must be purchased in advance).

As yet there is still no confirmed price for tickets, but last year the cost was $28 for adults, $24 for seniors and children 3-17, and free for kids two and under.
