Posted by On Dec. 5, 1933 the 18th amendment officially went bye-bye. Prohibition ended, Eliott Ness was out of a job, and 83 years later to the day alcohol enthusiasts can (legally) enjoy some pretty sweet drink deals in the city of angels.
Specifically, I’m talking about dollar drink specials for National Repeal Day available at each of nine Los Angeles establishments, all owned and operated by the folks at the 1933 Group (aptly named given the nature of this promotion). The offer will include either a $1 Old Fashioned or a $1 Tequilia Press, depending on the bar/lounge in question. Deals at all locations will be available during a two-hour block this Monday, Dec. 5, from 5 to 7 p.m.
