7th Annual Los Angeles Music Video Festival
October 1 - October 7$12 - $65
Celebrate the art of the music video during the 7th Annual Los Angeles Music Video Festival, taking place over seven nights from October 1 to 7 at various L.A. locations, including the Downtown Independent, 72andSunny and the Ace Hotel.
This grassroots festival, the largest music video event in the country, includes video screenings, speakers, a juried competition, musical performances, and more.
The event begins on October 1, with the kickoff event. See screenings of festival finalists such as A Tribe Called Quest, Green Day, Paramore, and Sylvan Esso.
Other evenings will feature the premiere of Chet Faker’s film Missing Link; a celebration of Watsky music videos; screenings of all the Official Selections not competing (including choices from Metallica, Fitz & the Tantrums, Muse, Justin Bieber and more); a woman-focused evening focusing on networking and show-and-tell; and an exploration of the art of the music video at 72andSunny.
The closing night event at the Ace Hotel will feature the awards ceremony, a Bjork retrospective, a live performance by Watsky and an encore presentation of the winning videos.
Most events start at 7 p.m., with tickets costing $12. The closing night at Ace Hotel is $30, and festival passes are $65. Click the link below for more info.
