The 9th Annual Edwardian Ball & World’s Faire returns to the Globe Theater in Los Angeles on February 10, while the previous day, February 9, marks the amazing debut of Los Angeles’ Edwardian World’s Faire.
This fantastic event originated in a San Francisco nightclub but has now transformed into a multi-night, multi-city, multi-media extravaganza. An internationally recognized festival of the arts, the ball is a whimsical celebration of art, live music, riveting theatre, fashion, literature, ballroom dancing, DJs, circus, and the beloved creations of the late, great author and illustrator Edward Gorey.
The 2018 season will focus on Gorey’s story The Raging Tide: or, The Black Doll’s Imbroglio. This one-of-a-kind tale is often called a “choose your own adventure”!
Snap a photo in the portrait booth, sip a locally-distilled absinthe cocktail, enjoy a menu of delicious bites, dance the night away, or skip around the Museum of Wonders. Other highlights include sideshow performances, fortunetelling, tarot reading, and live painting. Coat check, full bars, and hot food will be available all night.
Tickets are on sale now. One-day GA tickets are $75 ($65 for a limited time) and get you entry, including all performances, art and installations, gaming, tarot, absinthe bar, food, Underground Gardens and more.
