“Mexican Today” — A Conversation with Chef Pati Jinich at The Skirball

Need some cooking inspiration? Stop by the Skirball on January 18 for a conversation with celebrated chef Pati Jinich.
In case you’re unfamiliar with Jinich, she grew up in Mexico City, writes about food for the Washington Post, cooked at the White House for President Obama’s Cinco de Mayo celebration and hosts the TV show Pati’s Mexican Table.
During Mexican Today, food writer Lara Rabinovitch, a specialist in immigrant history, will sit down with Jinich to discuss the latter’s culinary inspiration and heritage. Attendees will also have a chance to sample dishes from Jinich’s cookbooks Mexican Today: New and Rediscovered Recipes for Contemporary Kitchens and Pati’s Mexican Table: The Secrets of Real Mexican Home Cooking.
Post-conversation drinks will be provided by Wahaka Mezcal. A book signing will take place after the conversation, with books available for purchase. For additional info, click the link below.
