Orange you glad you get to show off your Dutch pride on the Santa Monica Pier?
The Dutch King’s Day celebration-organized by the United Netherlands Organizations and the Consulate General of the Netherlands – will be at the Santa Monica Pier on Sunday, April 24 from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 and anyone 12 or younger gets in for free.
The birthday celebration is in honor of King Willem Alexander of the Netherlands and all guests are asked to wear orange as it is the color of the Dutch Royal Family that hails from the House of Orange.
The following artists are set to perform: Good Rockin’ Daddy, Justine Pelmelay (flying in from Holland),Vinny Fazari & Friends, and JayKay and there will be Dutch food vendors, attractions for adults and kids, games, arts & crafts, a Heinken beer garden, and a dance party.
Judging by last year’s event there will be wooden shoe makers, a drop off area for letters for the king, and plenty of photo stations.
