On April 14, enjoy a free screening of a new episode of CNN’s Emmy-nominated show United Shades of America with W. Kamau Bell. The event takes place at the Bing Theater at LACMA, and Bell himself will be on hand for an enlightening conversation.

An exploration of American subcultures by Bell, a sociopolitical comedian, this original series uses humor to raise questions about race, and how racial differences both unite and divide us.

This episode, Immigrants & Refugees, focuses on the fascinating stories of ambitious immigrants to Washington DC and the surrounding area. You’ll see Bell go from Gaithersburg, Maryland, known as “the most diverse city in America,” to an Alt-Right conference in D.C. led by the infamous Richard Spencer, who unabashedly declares his allegiance with white privilege.

There is a limit of two tickets per reservation, and you can reserve tickets via the link below.
