UnSilent Cinema: Classic Movie Screenings at FIGat7th on September 28 & 29
September 28 - September 29Free
UnSilent Cinema is returning to Downtown L.A. for a FREE two-night event with live music and screenings.
In case you’re unfamiliar, the UnSiltent Cinema screens classic films that have impacted cinematic history. This year’s event is inspired by female-focused music and films featuring strong women in the leads. The Goddess (1934), the story of a young mother working as a prostitute so she can elevate the life of her son, screens on September 28 , while The Passion of Joan of Arc (1928), an artful look at the brave French farm girl who became a warrior and military leader, will be shown on September 29. Both showings will open with a live set by composer and filmmaker Noveller, who recently toured with Iggy Pop.
The schedule for both days is as follows:
- 5 p.m.: Happy Hour & DJ in TASTE Courtyard
- 7 p.m.: DJ on FIGat7th Plaza
- 8 p.m.: Screenings & Live Show on FIGat7th Plaza
Seating is limited and first-come, first-served. So plan ahead, bring some blankets, and enjoy the show!
