Just a Friendly Reminder that LACMA is FREE on Memorial Day

Posted by

One of the nice things about the Los Angeles County Museum of Art is how often it is made available to the public free of charge, sometimes with a little help from its corporate benefactors. Specifically, the folks over Target.

Target sponsors several free-admission days throughout the year at LACMA on federal holidays, one of which is Memorial Day.

That said, LACMA will be free all day this coming Monday, May 25th, with operating hours from 11:00am to 5:00pm.

The free day at LACMA will feature bilingual tours, free programs, art-making activities, and live music by Urban Renewal Project at 12:30 pm and 2:45 pm.

Note that the Target Free Holiday Monday excludes admission to Nature and the American Vision: The Hudson River School. Also, tickets to the Boone Children’s Gallery will be provided on a first come, first serve basis, and all tickets will be timed with a 30 minute window of entry.

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art is located at 5905 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90036. For more information visit the official website.
