The Gamble House is Offering a $1 Admission Day in Sept.

2016 marks 50 years since The Gamble family donated their historic home to the City of Pasadena and the University of Southern California. As part of the donation agreement, the architectural masterpiece is permitted one special day each Sept. to be open to the public.

This year’s public day falls on Sept. 25, offering visitors a unique chance to enjoy the Gamble House for a $1 admission.

Guests of the $1 admission day will enjoy self-paced tours of the Gamble House, food trucks, family activities on the lawn such as soap carving and kids’ woodworking workshops, plus live music and more.

As part of the 50-year donation anniversary The Gamble House will also be hosting a special selection of activities beginning on Sept 21., starting with a gala dinner and preview of a new Gamble House documentary (tickets starting at $250).

Other events include a docent appreciation reception on Sept. 22 and a USC Family Open House on Sept. 24.

The public $1 admission day will be Sunday, Sept. 25 from noon to 5:00 p.m.

The Gamble House is located at 4 Westmoreland Place, Pasadena, CA 91103.
