Join in the epic battle on Star Wars Episode VII opening weekend. Pick a side of the force and wield your lightsaber in the ultimate nocturnal showdown against fellow Angelenos during: Lightsaber Battle LA 2015 going down in DTLA’s Pershing Square.

Free to participate or to watch (Lightsaber rentals are available if you don’t have your own).
Past events have attracted up to 2000 warriors in New York City and Toronto, producers of the event expect even more to show up in Los Angeles.
The masterminds behind this event are Newmindspace, event producers of free, super fun concepts and the Lightsaber Academy, an academy for Jedis (yes that is a thing).
So bring your best lightsaber or reserve one for $10 (for you to use and keep.) We also found out our friends at Goldstar is hooking it up with half priced lightsabers while supplies last so you might want to check that first before opting for the regular priced lightsabers.
After all the lightsabers have been distributed and Angeleno have chosen a side to fight for, the battle will commence.
