The Marina Del Rey Boat Parade is back for 2015 for their 53rd annual affair taking place this Saturday, December 12.

This season’s special theme is “Adventure on the The Sea” and will feature some 70 competitors entertaining onlookers and vying for bragging rights in categories such as best animation, best lights, best band, best overall, and more!

A Winter Wonder event in Burton Chace Park precedes the parade from 1:00pm to 5:00pm and there will be a fireworks show at 5:55pm to kicks things off, with the parade starting at 6:00pm and running until 8:00pm.

Check out a quick look at last year’s parade below (with a recap on details after the jump):

What: The 53rd Annual Marina Del Rey Boat Parade

When: Saturday, December 12, 2015 starting at 6:00pm

Where: Fisherman’s Village / Burton Chace Park

There are 10 public parking lots in the Marina and the parade organizers mentioned that fees for those lots may be waived from 3:00pm to midnight, but no confirmation on that yet.

The parade will go off rain or shine, and viewing is free and open to the public.

Enjoy!
