New App Will Deliver SGV’s Finest Asian Food Anywhere in Los Angeles

December 26, 2014 by Brian Champlin

Every thought about trying some of the delicious Asian cuisine out in the San Gabriel Valley only to be dissuaded by the drive and the distance from taking on the experience?

Well, one company is attempting to make that whole process easier by delivering food from dozens of Asian restaurants in the SGV right to your doorstop.

It’s called ToGo626 and, on the surface at least, it sounds pretty cool.

The LAist actually tested the service out, and provides a great review of their experience (positive on the whole), but I’ll  provide the relevant highlights here, in case you want to shortcut it and get straight to ordering:

  • In the neighborhood of 50 restaurants are offered to order from, in cities ranging from Alhambra to Rowland Heights, and include top notch favorites like 101 Noodle Express, Chengdu, Savoy and Newport Seafood (pictured below), plus many others!
  • Normally a $7.99 delivery fee for first three miles, and $0.99 for each additional mile.
  • They have a limited time promotion that drops the fee down to $2.99 for the first three miles (not sure when that expires).
  • Place the order on their website with a credit card and a short time later (traffic no withstanding) they arrive at your doorstep.

Pretty cool, though  I could see how it would get expensive fast, especially if you’re not order for a large party.

However, definitely beats having to brave trek out to the eastern edges of Los Angeles if you’ve got a serious craving for real-deal Asian cuisine you can only find in the SGV.
