Silver Lake’s Free Outdoor Summer Movie Series Returns in June (and here’s the complete schedule!)

Anyone up for some free outdoor film screenings this summer in Silver Lake?

Back now for its fifth year, The Silver Lake Picture Show is a free, summer-long community series that screens popular films in a picnic-like setting at Sunset Triangle Plaza.

As in years past feature presentations are prefaced with performances by live bands and additional screenings of short films produced by local filmmakers.

For 2016 the first screening is scheduled for June 23 with a showing of Raiders of the Lost Ark and the series will conclude on Sept. 15 with Labyrinth.

No RVSP is required but seating is highly limited, however, so early arrival is encouraged to claim a spot.

Last summer, for example the event drew an average of 500-700 per screening.*

Complete lineup of dates and movies for 2016 listed after the jump.
