If You’re Mad About Tacos Then Check Out Taco Madness at Villain’s Tavern This Sunday

April 16, 2015 by Brian Champlin

Earlier this month the famed LA Taco blog created a taco bracket to find out who would emerge as the taco champion of Los Angeles for 2015.

32 contenders were announced and countless votes were cast via Facebook, but ultimately only one could be crowned as the winner, and for this year the champ emerged as Guerrilla Tacos of Culver City.

Ok, that’s great you say… but how does this digital taco survey impact my real world taco-ing adventures?

Glad you asked.

Taco Madness, an afternoon affair to be held at Villain’s Tavern this Sunday, will band together some of L.A.’s finest tacos vendors all in one festive taco atmosphere to celebrate the finale (and crown the winner) of the month-long taco tournament. Vendors will include (but are not limited to) Mariscos Jalisco, Guerrilla Tacos (your winner), Carnitas El Momo, Tacos Arabes de Puebla, and (my personal favorite) Mexicali Taco & Co.

All food inside is available for sale, but the cost of entry does get you a welcome drink!

In addition to the tacos, there are promises of DJ spun tunes, live art, taco-related swag, and a great selection of cocktails and specialty craft beers.

Tacos Madness will take place at Villain’s Tavern, 1356 Palmetto St, Los Angeles, CA 90013 starting at 2pm this Sunday, April 19. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased here.
