Every week in Los Angeles there’s tons of great things to do (even before the weekend gets started) that we think you ought to have on your radar. With that in mind, we put together a list every Monday morning to keep you in the know about what’s happening in the city you love.

This week includes a new escape room experience, a free Death Cab for Cutie show, game night at Grand Central market, and First Fridays around Los Angeles (plus a whole lot more!).

Monday March 3oth, 2015

1. $3 Mystery Beer Night

It really doesn’t get any better than this on for a beer drinker on a Monday. Come into Bar ONE in North Hollywood and sample anywhere from 4-6 beers on their mystery menu all for $3.

2. Transforming Spaces Film Screening At RedCat In DTLA

A set of new short films from L.A. filmmakers will be screened for one night at the Downtown Los Angeles Redcat. Watch how each film maker engages with space and see it translated into 12 minutes or less screen time.

3. Complimentary Sake Tasting at Katsuya

The Monday blues got you down? Have some sake on Katsuya! Increase your sake knowledge with a complementary tasting before dinner is served at all Kaysuya locations. Local experts from Tyku, Rock Sake, Dassai and Kikisui will be hosting.

4. Free Death Cab For Cutie Show

Amoeba Music in Hollywood welcomes Death Cab For Cutie as they celebrate the release of their new album Kintsugi. Receive pre-signed album artwork AND guaranteed admission to the live in-store performance with a album purchase! Show starts at 6 pm.

5. A Run, Yoga Class, Tacos, Trivia And Beer At Angel City Brewery 

Angel City Brewery knows how to spend a Tuesday night! Go for a run at 5:45 pm,Vinyasa class begins at 615pm in the new Beer Hall events area. Usually on a Saturday the weekday class is $10 per person and includes a pint! At 7pm Taqueria el Severo will be serving up grilled tacos outside of Angel City Brewery and trivia from Brainstormer rounds out the night.

6. Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella

The Ahmanson Theater will host the Tony Award winning musical Cinderella by composing legends Rodgers and Hammerstein. Watch their hilarious and magically romantic take on the story played out on stage. Goldstar has discount tickets to the event through Thursday!

7. Get Buzzed At Game Night!

Buzzed Bar Games and Trivia is an entertainment company that provides fun game nights and trivia to bars, restaurants, and organizations. This week they are coming to The Deck in Hermosa Beach! Prepare to play a variety of games from bingo to physical games for prizes!

8. Escape Room LA’s Live-Action Adventure Presents The Cavern

Play Indiana Jones for a day with Escape Room LA! Find clues and solve puzzles to get your hands on a lost civilization’s ancient treasures hundreds of feet below Downtown Los Angeles! 9. The Music Of David Lynch

The David Lynch Foundation celebrates its 10th Anniversary with The Music of David Lynch at The Ace in Downtown Los Angeles, an exploration of the director’s use of immersive and ambient sound in his films, Twin Peaks and original catalog. Watch Duran Duran, Tennis, Moby, Zola Jesus and more perform interpretations of Lynch’s music for one special night with all proceeds benefiting at-risk populations suffering with PTSD.

10. Lost & Found Film Club: Toon Town

If you still enjoy cartoons and all things animation and… come on who doesn’t? Toon Town is just the thing for you! Check out Disney and Paramount cartoons from the 50’s, hand painted experiments, crude claymation and more. The entire collection of shorts will be projected from original 16mm & 35mm prints at Cinefamily on Fairfax Boulevard.

Thursday April 2nd, 2015

11. Game Night At Grand Central Market

Eat, drink and play every Thursday at Grand Central Market. Grab dinner and cocktails then top the night off with an assortment of games from Jenga to ping pong. The festivities end at 9pm for all the early risers out there!

12. Sketchmelt

Need some LOL’s to get you through the end of the week? Head on over to Meltdown Comics on Sunset and check out Sketchmelt. Host Brad Gage and Christian Spicer showcase the best of new live and video sketch comedy.

13. Earth Month Los Angeles Opening Reception

G2 Gallery, El Pueblo and Western National Parks Association will open Earth Month Los Angeles 2015 an ambitious collaborative exhibit at the historic Pico House downtown. The show will feature images from award-winning photographers, including Louie Schwartzberg and Robert Glenn Ketchum, all focused on our public parks system. Opening reception is from 6-9pm and will be open to the public and includes complimentary hors d’oeuvres and wine.

14. Cask Beer & Farmer’s Market

Buy local and taste seasonal produce in the hip artist district of Downtown. From 5-9 pm LARABA hosts a farmers market outside of Angel City’s Triangle Lot. Starting at 4pm the brewery puts on a “Mystery Cask” beer so cheers to that too!

15. Angels Host Rival Dodgers in Pre-Season Action

18. Cruel Intentions: The Completely Unauthorized Musical Parody 

The Musical takes all the sexy,funny and memorable moments from the original movie, mashes them up with a soundtrack of top-40 hits from the 90s and then performs it all live onstage with a powerhouse cast and live band. 19. H&S Band & Burlesque With DJ Dan Mancini

A full on party happens at Harvard & Stone every Friday night. A band plays blues and rock n roll, DJ Mancini aka Ladypills spins tunes while a burlesque show heats things up at 1030pm with a encore every hour.

20. Cinderella At The El Capitan

Cinderella has been killing it with the critics (84% on Rotten Tomatoes) and at the box office, and you can still catch a screening at The El Capitan featuring live action event with special guests, film props, a light show and more as you wait for the curtain to go up. For fans of Frozen, Disney will also be showing a short Frozen Fever for attendees. This is an event for fairy tale lovers and romantics alike. 21. ComedySportz: Fast & Funny Improv
