39th Annual L.A. Chinatown Firecracker 5/10K Run/Walk & Bike Ride

The historic Chinatown Firecracker Run/Walk and Bike Ride is back for the 39th year in a row. On February 11 and 12, participants and attendees will scour the streets and hills of Chinatown and Elysian Park while celebrating the Year of the Rooster.
In case you’re unfamiliar with this popular event, bike riders, runners and walkers alike love participating in this annual happening within the belly of Los Angeles. The bike rides are approximately 20 and 30 miles long with a major portion alongside the L.A. River, Elysian Park and Griffith Park. The 5K and 10K run/walk will take participants through Elysian Park, past Dodger Stadium and Montecillo De Leo Politi Park.
Other highlights include opening ceremonies with firecrackers, free carbo-load meals, finisher medals, carnival games and admission to the Firecracker Festival. The festival includes performances from Millennium Dance Complex, a Korean drum ensemble, Polynesian dancers, and more.
Each day’s events begin around 7:30 a.m. and end around 1 p.m. A breakdown of the event schedule is below.
Bike Ride on Saturday, February 11:
- 30 Mile Ride at 9 a.m.
- 20 Mile Ride at 9:20 a.m.
Run/Walk & Kiddie Run on Sunday, February 12:
- 5K Run/Walk at 8 a.m.
- 10K Run/Walk at 8:30 a.m.
- Kiddie Run at 9:45 a.m.
