The American Youth Symphony Celebrates Bernstein Centennial with Free Concert at UCLA

Celebrate the 100th birthday of one of America’s very greatest composers, Leonard Bernstein, when the American Youth Symphony plays a free concert at Royce Hall on February 17.

Most famed for his stunning music for West Side Story, Bernstein is also renowned for such classic musicals and movies as On the Town, On the Waterfront, and much more.

During this free concert at UCLA’s Royce Hall, you’ll hear “Symphonic Dances” from West Side Story, Bernstein’s exuberant Divertimento, and works from two of America’s other greatest composers, Aaron Copland and Charles Ives.
