On April 1, see and hear a new live score accompanying John Hughes’ The Breakfast Club. One of the most iconic teen movies of the ’80s, Hughes’ seminal film is the story of five very different high school kids — “a brain and an athlete and a basket case, a princess and a criminal” — forced to spend an entire Saturday together in detention.

Taking place at the Bing Theater at LACMA, come find out why this thoughtful, extremely well-written movie still resonates for so many during this edition of Bring the Noise, Film Independent at LACMA’s new program featuring top musicians creating new, original live scores for a film of their choosing.

This time around, Jack Antonoff of Bleachers, a big John Hughes fan, has devised the score, which he’ll perform live.
