CicLAvia is back for another round of open-streets biking, walking and exploring in different Los Angeles communities!

Taking place on April 22 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., CicLAvia Heart of the Foothills coincides with Earth Day 2018 and touts itself as one of the largest open-street events in the country. Beginning in San Dimas and continuing through La Verne and Pomona, the route will conclude in Claremont. This is not a race, by any means. The streets along the route will be closed to car traffic and open for people to walk, skate, bike and play in different parts of L.A. — going either direction!

CicLAvia has many resources available for interested attendees, including safety tips and general guidelines. There is also a route map available for download at the event page.

And don’t forget, this community event is free and open for all ages.

So celebrate Earth Day by going carless in some neighborhoods of L.A.!
