Strap on your Fitbit and join the folks of Elysian Valley for the 10th Anniversary of the Frogtown Artwalk, a yearly free tour of the studios of the artists and artisans of this unique L.A. community.
Check out artists of all types working with many mediums, including fabric, printmaking, photography, quilts, chalk, and wood burning (just to name a few)! The walk is only 1.3 miles one way, extending from Fletcher St to Gail St, and Pedicabs will be available for that evening.
Also, this year, artist Tim Durfee designed an art installation for the Artwalk: “manipulated illumination of riparian vegetation growing in a soft bottom reach of the Los Angeles River.” It looks different by day and by night, so try to check out both versions if you can.
Food and drink vendors will be located throughout the Frogtown area, and Elysian and The Left Bank will also be open and serving small plates, drinks, and desserts. Musicians will be jamming throughout the open spaces of the walk area with three official stages set up at Marsh Park 2, Frogspot, and the Elysian Valley Community Garden at Rich Street.
