The 119th Golden Dragon Parade & Chinese New Year Festival in Chinatown

Come celebrate the Lunar New Year while enjoying one of Los Angeles’ oldest cultural traditions when the 119th Golden Dragon Parade and Chinese New Year Festival returns to Chinatown on February 17!
Thousand of people will gather in DTLA to watch nearly two dozen floats, along with various marching bands, entertainers, and more. The parade route is Hill St. and Temple toward Bernard, continuing throughout Chinatown. The parade begins at 1 p.m. and you can view the full parade map here.
The New Year Festival takes place at Central Plaza and begins at 12 p.m., going until 8 p.m. The fest will include a culinary stage curated by Chef Royce Burke, artisans (calligraphy, magic, face painting, candy sculpture), a gourmet food truck, acrobatic acts, Lion Dance Troupe and more.
This Lunar New Year event is free for the whole family, but grandstand seating is also available for $10-20. For more information, visit the event link below.
