The Eclectic, South Pasadena’s FREE Music Festival and Art Walk, returns for its 10th year on April 28!
From 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., Angelenos can make their way along the streets of South Pasadena (most notably Mission Street and Fair Oaks) for an afternoon of free entertainment. This festival features four outdoor stages, along with ten other venues, with more than 50 musical performances planned. There will also be open houses at art galleries and studios.
Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum band Big Bad Voodoo Daddy will headline the event. Taking the stage at 8:30 p.m., these kings of swing recently released their eleventh album, Louie, Louie, Louie, an homage to three jazz legends: Louis Armstrong, Louis Jordan and Louis Prima.
In addition, attendees can enjoy retro-nouveau-rockabilly-jump-swing from Maureen and The Mercury 5; afrobeat vibes from Mexico68; flamenco, blues and Latin twang from Twanguero; mesmerizing vocals and graceful piano from Grammy winner Darlene Koldenhoven; the crowd-pleasing sounds of Chicago from hometown favorite The South Pasadena Transit Authority; a lineup of Americana singer songwriters playing at the Fretted Frog Stage; jazz in two venues; an open-mic opportunity and lots and lots more music.
