Tu B’Shevat a Celebration of Trees at The Skirball

February 9, 2017 @ 7:30 pm

$10 – $12
skirball cultural center

The Skirball Cultural Center is hosting a panel in honor of the celebration of trees, Tu B’Shevat.

On February 9 at 7:30 p.m., Amelia Saltmans (author of The Seasonal Jewish Kitchen) and Andy Lipkis (founder of TreePeople) will celebrate the Jewish tradition by offering food tastings and discussing how the tree-honoring holiday, Tu B’Shevat, encourages sustainable living. The panel will also be moderated by Evan Kleiman from KCRW’s Good Food.

In case you’re unfamiliar with this Jewish holiday, Tu B’Shevat marks the beginning of a new year for trees. Each year, various people celebrate this holiday by sharing eco-living tips, planting trees and more.

Tickets are currently available for this festive event at $12. Museum members and full-time students may also purchase tickets for only $10.

Enjoy!
