Pasadena’s biannual ArtNightM FA TP-> The fall edition of Pasadena’s biannual ArtNight pops up this Friday, featuring free activations and art on view at myriad partner locations, including the Arts Center, Armory Center for the Arts, Pasadena City Hall, and the USC Pacific Asia Museum. Free to attend, and there’s a free shuttle that transits visitors between locations as well. More info here.

Night Out at The Cube -> Night Out at the Cube is back at Discovery Cube Los Angeles this Friday for a spooky, 21+ edition on Friday, October 10. From 7 to 11 p.m., explore exhibits while enjoying drinks, bites, and a live DJ. Take on the corn maze, launch pumpkin catapults, enter the costume contest, and solve the clues in the challenging Mystery at the Cube adventure! GA tickets (which include two drinks) start at $36. Ivy Station Night Market M FA > Get in the Halloween spirit this Friday with a spooky edition of the monthly Ivy Station Night Market. Expect a wickedly good time on the Ivy Station lawn with 30+ local makers, complimentary tarot readings, mini pumpkin decorating, and a live DJ spinning spooky classics. All ages and pet friendly. 6th Annual Seaweed Festival FA > Dive into the 6th Annual California Seaweed Festival this weekend! The action kicks off Friday with the Seaweed Speakeasy Fundraiser for blue economy innovators at Lands End Berth 60. Then, head to the Marine Cabrillo Aquarium on Saturday for a day of family fun. Expect hands-on activities, live music, vendor booths, cooking demonstrations (yes, you can sample cooked seaweed!), and fascinating science presentations. Saturday’s festival is free and open to the public, and runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. More info here.

SON OF MONSTERPALOOZA -> SON OF MONSTERPALOOZA heads back to to Burbank from this Friday to Sunday. This massive event for horror, sci-fi, and fantasy fans features over 150 monstrous vendors, live makeup demos, and a huge lineup of celebrity guests from iconic film franchises like Halloween and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Plus, catch unique panels and presentations all weekend in the Monsterpalooza Theatre! Tickets range from $38.65 – $150. More info here.

Urban Death Tour of Terror at Zombie Joe’s Underground Theatre -> Continuing this Friday and Saturday, Zombie Joe’s annual tradition of Urban Death is back with a brand new series of terrifying vignettes, bookended by walks through a creepy maze. The haunt will run every Friday and Saturday through November 1. Advance tickets are $24 online, or it’s $28 at door. Get more info here.

Delusion: Harrowing Of Hell  – M > Thirteenth Floor’s Delusion Halloween series is back at a new location at the Variety Arts Theater in DTLA. This year’s conceptual “moving play” immerses guests in the world of Pagan’s Path, described as “a supernatural cult that has taken the metaphors of Dante’s inferno too far.” Performances run this Thursday to Sunday, then continue on select dates through November 9. Reign of Terror Haunted House -> The award-winning Reign of Terror Haunted House in Thousand Oaks is back now for its 25th season. This year’s haunt features 142 rooms in 11 different, inter-connected sections within 32,000 square feet of floor space. Standards tickets start at $42.99. The experience runs this Friday to Sunday, then continues select dates through November 2. More info here.

Magic of the Jack O’Lanterns -> Magic of the Jack O’Lanterns is back a new South Bay Location. This year the experience takes over South Coast Botanic Garden in Palos Verdes on select nights (including this Friday to Sunday) through November 2. Expect a wandering path featuring thousands of glowing, hand-carved jack o’lanterns, plus enchanting light displays, towering inflatables, and playful bouncy pads. Tickets start at $24.99. Indigenous Peoples’ Day at The GettyFA > The Getty celebrates Indigenous Peoples’ Day on Saturday with special activations, hands-on workshops, and musical performances. Runs 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. An advance reservation (free) is required. More info here.

Red Bull Dance Your Style World Final -> Catch the planet’s most electrifying street dancers at the Red Bull Dance Your Style World Final this Saturday at the Intuit Dome. Champions from 50 countries will battle in this mixed-style showdown, featuring hip-hop, popping, locking, and more. It’s all pure improv, and the kicker is that audiences will decide the winner for each round. GA tickets start at $42. Get more info here.

15th Annual El Velorio Cultural Celebration – > One of L.A. County’s largest Día de los Muertos celebrations returns to Plaza de la Raza on Saturday for an evening of one-of-a-kind art pieces from over 150 artists plus live performances, Aztec Dancers, food, and craft vendors. LA Beer Fest – Oktoberfest Edition -> The semi annual beer fest returns to Los Angeles Center Studios for an Oktoberfest edition this Saturday featuring music by Festmeister Hans Und Die Sauerkrauts and a Bavarian beer village with 50 local breweries and a dozen food trucks. San Fernando Really Really Free MarketFA > The San Fernando Valley Really, Really Free Market pops up this Saturday, offering an event centered on community and mutual aid. Head to Van Nuys Boulevard from 3 to 7 p.m. to find free food, clothing, and supplies. The event, organized by Aetna Street Solidarity, operates on the principle of solidarity: take what you need, and give what you can. Everyone is welcome to participate in this grassroots effort to support local communities. More info here.

Fall Festival in NoHoM FA > The Valley Cultural Center is hosting its first-ever celebration at the North Hollywood Recreation Center this Saturday. Enjoy a full afternoon of family fun with pumpkin painting, bracelet making, dog adoptions, and free trees. The evening caps off with a live performance by The New Romantics, a fantastic Taylor Swift Tribute band! Free to attend. Runs 3 to 6 p.m. More info here.

BLOCtober BoofestM FA > BLOCtober at The Bloc in DTLA returns this Saturday with a free, festive evening featuring a ton of Halloween fun. The highlight will be an outdoor screening of The Nightmare Before Christmas under the stars. But you can also dress up for retailer trick-or-treating, enjoy face painting, hot apple cider, and photo ops with Jack Skellington. The Getty Presents Medieval Road Food: Eating and Drinking on the GoFA > Dive into the fascinating history of Medieval Road Food at The Getty this Sunday. Historian Ken Albala will explore how people ate while traveling in the Middle Ages, from inns to packed provisions. Discover advice from a 1556 physician’s guide and learn how travelers indulged in “junk food” even then. Your $125 ticket includes a lively talk, a food and wine tasting featuring “health foods” and decadent medieval treats, plus three period-inspired wines. Must be 21+. More info here.

Sumi-e at the Japanese GardenFA > This Sunday, take a break at The Japanese Garden in Van Nuys where can wander the tranquil space and enjoy free demonstrations of Sumi-e, the traditional Japanese art of ink wash painting, by artist Nori Shirasu. Plus, the Sansui Kai Bonsai Club will be showcasing the delicate art of Bonsai. Garden hours are 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Admission and parking are both free. More info here.

CicLAvia Heart of LAM FA > On Sunday, CicLAvia – Heart of LA brings the city’s biggest open streets event to Downtown Los Angeles for a route that connects Boyle Heights, Chinatown, Macarthur Park and Little Tokyo, with plenty of activation hubs spread throughout. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and is free to attend. More info here.

HOWL-O-WEEN at Arts District BrewingM FA > Get your pup’s best costume ready for HOWL-O-WEEN at Arts District Brewing this Sunday. The annual Doggie Costume Contest kicks off at 3 p.m., with prizes for the best-dressed pups. While the dogs strut their stuff, humans can enjoy drink specials, and Pup Culture Rescue will be on-site with adorable, adoptable dogs from 2 to 5 p.m. Free to attend. More info here.

Filled Market x Smorgasburg (October 12) -> In honor of Filipino American History Month, Smorgasburg LA teams up with Filled Market for a mega celebration featuring over 40 food and drink vendors, creative artisans, fly local brands, body artists, and DJs—alongside Smorgasburg’s resident favorites. The event is free to attend and runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  More info here.

Oh La La Live Jazz Nights (Fridays & Saturdays) -> Head to Oh La La in Pasadena for a lively weekend dinner featuring French favorites like Steak Frites, paired with a complimentary side of live jazz. Music runs from 6 to 9 p.m. each Friday and Saturday. More info here.

Tender Fest 4 Ever (October 12) -> Tender Fest is back for a day-long celebration of everyone’s favorite comfort food — the chicken tender. The all-you-can-eat event takes over the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills with vendors like Happies Hand Made, Chimmelier, Le Coupe, and Pioneer Chicken.
