ICE Out Los Angeles – FA > Instead of to-dos for this Friday, we’re cancelling plans and urging readers to participate in a general strike scheduled across the country on January 30. Many Los Angeles area restaurants will close operations on Friday in solidarity with the protestors in Minneapolis, and there are multiple protests planned around L.A. county on the same day, with the largest expected to be at L.A. City Hall beginning at 1 p.m. Why are we making this callout? Because, this is what fascism looks like. And it’s up to us (the people) to either acquiesce or turn the tide. We Like L.A. has no problem plainly stating which side of that debate we choose.
