Netflix is a Joke Fest -> The massive city-wide comedy festival runs through this Sunday, with weekend offerings including John Mulaney at the Hollywood Bowl, Asian Nation Hosted by Margaret Cho at the Regent, Dave Chapelle at the Hollywood Palladium, Flight Of The Conchords at the Greek, Jimmy O. L.A. County Fair -> Beginning this Thursday, the L.A. County Fair returns to Pomona for an enormous assortment of activities, musical performances, food and beverage offerings, and more. After the opening day, the fair continues Thursday to Sunday through the rest of the month. Single day, advance tickets start at $18-$25 for adults. More info here.
Summer of Salsa – M FA > LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes kicks off their 2026 season of Summer of Salsa this Friday with a performance by Son Mayor, one of Los Angeles’ most beloved ensembles, known for their high-energy blend of classic and contemporary Cuban salsa. NO PLACE LIKE HOME at the Wende -> This Friday, the Wende Teen Council invites high schoolers to No Place Like Home, an exclusive after-hours event at the Wende Museum in Culver City. This youth-led night centers on a student-curated art installation exploring the complexities of “home”—from family bonds and cultural identity to finding refuge in the face of community challenges. The evening is designed as a creative social hub where students can connect, vibe, and engage with the museum’s current exhibition, Enrique Martínez Celaya: The Sextant. Ivy Station Night Market: Prom Rewind – M FA > Dust off your favorite outfit and head to Culver City this Friday for the Ivy Station Night Market: Prom Rewind. This themed evening transforms the open-air plaza into a nostalgic dance floor, where you can relive your high school era without the formalwear pressure. LA Art Book Fair -> Printed Matter’s LA Art Book Fair returns to the ArtCenter College of Design South Campus for its 13th edition this Thursday to Sunday.. This international gathering brings together over 250 exhibitors—from independent publishers and antiquarian booksellers to emerging artist collectives—to celebrate contemporary artists’ books and experimental print culture. This year’s fair features a deep dive into the politics of sound, rare archival exhibitions, and hands-on workshops across ArtCenter’s studios. MAK Center Architecture Tour Spring 2026 ->The MAK Center for Art and Architecture’s major spring fundraiser is a ticketed architectural tour which will open the doors to five remarkable private residences designed by R.M. Schindler, Raphael Soriano, and Lloyd Wright. This year’s selection spans the 1920s through 1950s, highlighting each architect’s innovative techniques across Lloyd Wright’s Studio (1927), Soriano’s Polito House (1940), and Schindler’s Wolff House (1938), Van Dekker House (1940), and Tucker House (1950).
