Los Angeles Festival of Tarot -> The Philosophical Research Society hosts a weekend of tarot programming on its campus as part of the Los Angeles Festival of Tarot. Friday evening opens with a ritual, an Ecosystems Panel, and a themed afterparty. Saturday brings a full day of talks and workshops, with the free Esoteric Marketplace by Witchy Ways Market open to the public, no ticket needed. All other events are ticketed. More info here.
Barnsdall Friday Wine Nights – M > Friday night wine tasting events are now back at the Barnsdall Art Park West Lawn! The 17th season offers wines by Silverlake Wine, plus access to a rotation of food trucks, all supported by tunes from local DJs and sweet sunset views of the Hollywood Sign and Griffith Park Observatory. The series continues every Friday through throughout the summer, and all proceeds benefit the Barnsdall Art Foundation. Tickets range from $35-$90. Events start at 5:30 p.m. More info here.
Summer of Salsa – M FA > LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes’ Summer of Salsa hosts another edition of their monthly dance this Friday. Roosevelt Cordova, aka El Presidente de la Salsa will headline the music with Super DJ Robby spinning tunes in between sets. Free salsa dance classes precede the show from 6 to 7 p.m. by Dancing 101 with Roberto. Free to attend as always. More info here.
Frogtown First Fridays – FA > Frogtown First Fridays is back and celebrating Pride month with special activations at a host of participating venues adjacent to the L.A. River Path. Guests can see new art exhibits, enjoy free or low-cost art activities, giveaways, DJ’s and live music. Runs 5 to 10 p.m. Free to attend. More info here.
Unique Eats and Eateries of L.A. Book Discussion -> Danny Jensen’s latest book, Unique Eats and Eateries of Los Angeles, takes readers on a guided tour through the city’s most unexpected and iconic restaurants, diving into the people and stories behind the food. Catch him in conversation with James Beard Award-nominated writer Jean Trinh this Friday at Skylight Books in Los Feliz from 7 to 8:30 p.m. More info here.
First Fridays at Norton Simon Museum – FA > The Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena opens its galleries and garden for free every first Friday of the month from 4 to 7 p.m. No reservations or advance tickets needed.
OUTLOUD Music Festival -> This Friday to Sunday, the OUTLOUD Music Festival takes over West Hollywood Park for three days of powerhouse performances featuring The Pussycat Dolls, Ava Max, Jade, Blue Man Group, Ashlee Simpson, and more. Friday night is free with registration courtesy of the City of West Hollywood. Saturday and Sunday single-day passes start at $137.22. More info here.
Sizzling Summer Jazz Nights at Runway Playa Vista -> Every Friday from June 5 through July 31, Runway Playa Vista hosts rotating live jazz bands from 6 to 8 p.m. on the turf. Last Remaining Seats -> The Los Angeles Conservancy’s annual series Last Remaining Seats features classic film screenings in some of Los Angeles’ most beautiful and historic movie theaters. This Saturday kicks off the 2026 series with a Charlie Chaplin matinee double bill of The Rink and Modern Times at the Orpheum Theatre, followed by an evening screening of Rebel Without a Cause. Grand Performances – M FA TP > Grand Performances marks 40 years of free summer concerts at California Plaza in DTLA with one of its most eclectic lineups yet. This season spans cumbia, mariachi, Afro-Latin fusion, funk and R&B, Ethiopian and Afrofuturistic jazz, traditional Korean sounds, indigenous rhythms, and more, bringing together artists spanning continents and generations. This Saturday, the series kicks off Cumbia legends Grupo Soñador, supported by LA-based cumbia band Wachiwara and a set from DJ Turbo Sonidero. The 30th Annual Gilmore Heritage Auto Show – FA > This Saturday , the 30th Annual Gilmore Heritage Auto Show comes to the Original Farmers Market. This year’s theme will be Route 66 – America’s Main Street – with a tribute to the cars you would have most likely seen taking a road trip on this iconic highway, American cars of the 1960s. Ocean of Sound – FA > This Saturday, the Annenberg Community Beach House hosts the third annual Ocean of Sound this Saturday, bringing an evening of immersive ambient music to the Santa Monica waterfront. Co-presented by internet radio collective dublab, this restorative listening event allows guests to experience live experimental sets by guitarist Meg Duffy (Hand Habits) and pianist Qur’an Shaheed while lounging poolside or swimming beneath the surface via specialized underwater speakers. The sunset session also features a spatial sound installation by Nina Keith alongside light-responsive textile artwork from Santa Monica Artist in Residence Faith-Ann Kiwa Young. American Indian Arts Marketplace -> This Saturday and Sunday, the Autry’s 34th annual American Indian Arts Festival returns this June, celebrating the rich culture of Native American art and performance. Enjoy live music, traditional dancing, workshops, printmaking, conversations on Indigenous design, and hands-on activities. Event tickets also grants access to all the Autry’s museum galleries. WeHo Pride Street Fair – FA > The City of West Hollywood’s annual WeHo Pride Street Fair returns with a packed two-day lineup across two outdoor stages, all happening this Saturday and Sunday. Co-headliner and Hacks actress Meg Stalter brings her signature energy to the stage with her debut single “Prettiest Girl in America,” joined by Willa Ford, Cailin Russo, Say Now, Elio, Shaun Ross, Ve’ondre, A$H, Banoffee, and more.
Jazz in the Park -> Playhouse Village’s beloved Jazz in the Park series returns every Sunday in June and July from 6 to 8 p.m. on the Van Halen Stage at Playhouse Village Park in Pasadena Bring a blanket, a low-backed chair, and a picnic from your favorite local spot. Hollywood Bowl Day at Smorgasburg -> On Sunday, Smorgasburg LA partners with the LA Phil to celebrate the launch of the Hollywood Bowl summer season with its annual Hollywood Bowl Day at ROW DTLA. The weekly outdoor food market features concert ticket giveaways, live DJs, and artist-inspired “punny” culinary specials from resident vendors, allowing visitors to grab a bite on-site or pack a picnic to-go for upcoming summer shows.
