World Cup Kickoff Events in Santa MonicaFA > The City of Santa Monica gets into the full swing of World Cup spirit with a trio activations on popping up this Friday. First, there’s the World Cup USA Kickoff Celebration at Santa Monica Place featuring multiple large LED screens, DJs, food and drink, beer gardens, and giveaways before the USA vs. Paraguay match begins at 6 p.m. Plus, the same day the Santa Monica Pier is opening the Michelob Ultra Pitchside Club Fan Experience, a large-scale soccer-themed environment for fans 21+ featuring live match viewing, interactive games, and more. Or you could catch Golden Hour on the 3rd Street Promenade, which features more activations, live music, and spots to watch the game. More info on all three here.

World Cup Viewing Parties at The Getty FA > Beginning this Thursday, the Getty Center hosts World Cup soccer watch parties with matches streamed on big screens at the Trellis Bar & Lounge and the Garden Terrace Café. Soccer fans can support their teams while enjoying special themed food and drink menu items alongside panoramic city views. The viewings cover select group stage and knockout matches from June 11 through July 19, including the USA’s first game vs. Paraguay this Friday at 6 p.m. Remember that admission is free with a reservation, but parking is paid. USA vs. Paraguay Watch Party at The Autry FA TP > On Friday, the Autry Museum is hosting a free outdoor World Cup watch party on its Griffith Park lawn for the highly anticipated USA vs. Paraguay match. Presented by Councilmember Nithya Raman, the Consulate General of Paraguay, the LA Parks Foundation, and Street Food Cinema, the family-friendly and dog-friendly event features the game broadcast on a massive screen alongside soccer-inspired lawn games, audience trivia, and a curated local marketplace. Attendees can buy themed cocktails from an on-site bar and grab dinner from a lineup of food trucks serving American and Paraguayan classics like Angeleno’s Wood Fired Pizza and Sus Arepas. Admission and general parking are free, though guests must reserve a ticket online, and premium reserved seating or front-lot parking passes are available for purchase. USA vs Paraguay World Cup Party at Chifa -> Eagle Rock’s Chifa is making the USA vs Paraguay match an event worth leaving the couch for. This Friday the restaurant is teaming up with local small businesses for a proper World Cup party. Doors open at 5 p.m., kickoff at 6 p.m., and an after party to keep things going. Loft & Bear Vodka cocktails, baleadas from Baleadas Factory, and sounds by Maje, Camilita, and Diablito round out the night. RSVP on Partiful.

Outdoor Movies at the Skirball -> Explore the legacy of a feminist punk icon as the Skirball Cultural Center hosts an outdoor screening of the documentary The Punk Singer (2013) this Friday. The film chronicles the life of musician and activist Kathleen Hanna, frontwoman of Bikini Kill and a pioneer of the 1990s “riot grrrl” movement. Ahead of the screening, singer Allison Wolfe will spin an opening DJ set while the museum doors remain open for evening exhibition viewing. The program concludes with an on-stage conversation featuring Hanna and Ms. magazine Executive Editor Katherine Spillar, moderated by Skirball Chief Curator Cate Thurston. Ivy Station Night Market: Boots & BrewsM FA > The Ivy Station Night Market returns this Friday with a June theme of Boots & Brews. Attendees can shop handmade goods from over 30 artisan vendors, ride a mechanical bull, play lawn games, and line dance to country hits and throwbacks from DJ Carl. Los Angeles Ale Works serves craft beer and wine directly on the plaza alongside a lineup of local food trucks and on-site neighborhood restaurants like Zaytinya and Sweetfin. Pride Night at The Aquarium of the PacificM > This Friday, in partnership with The LGBTQ Center Long Beach, the Aquarium of the Pacific is celebrating the LGBTQ+ community with an all ages event featuring drag queen storytelling, rainbow themed activities and much more. Grand PerformancesM FA > Grand Performances celebrates its 40th anniversary at California Plaza this Saturday with a performance by local favorites Ozomatli, who will bring their signature mix of Latin, hip-hop, funk, and reggae rhythms to the stage. Up-and-comers Healing Gems start the night with a blend of psychedelia and Tropicalia before passing the baton to veteran 10-piece Tropi-Funk outfit Jungle Fire, then the headliner. Venice Pride Block PartyFA > On Saturday, Venice Pride turns 10 this year and the milestone calls for a proper celebration. The free, all-ages block party features DJs Perfect Lovers and Naté, a queer market, food trucks, live entertainment, and community booths. Keep the party going after with a special Pride Month edition of GAYWATCH (21+), hosted by Barrys at Baja Cantina from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. — all ticket holders receive two complimentary Barry’s classes. Proceeds benefit Venice Pride, a nonprofit using art and events to uplift the local LGBTQ+ community. More info here.

Off the 405FA > The Getty’s annual after-hours concerts is back for summer of 2026 (one of our annual faves), including a June edition this Saturday featuring queer garage punk of Hunx and His Punx. You’ll need to pre-register for free to attend, and remember that parking is $10 after 6 p.m. on Saturdays. More info here.

SaMo Pride on the Promenade + Block FestM FA > The Santa Monica Pride Festival takes over Third Street Promenade this Saturday with a drag brunch, community booths, games, a Santa Monica Public Library pop-up and Rainbow Storytime (noon to 4 p.m.) Following the daytime events, the annual Santa Monica Block Fest offers a free, family-friendly World Cup-themed music festival (5 p.m. to midnight). Pickwick Vintage -> Discover a curated collection of designer fashion at the Pickwick Vintage Show, returning this Saturday for its monthly residency at ROW DTLA. This outdoor market features over 40 local vendors showcasing a wide assortment of vintage clothing, jewelry, and accessories from all eras. Whether you are a dedicated collector or simply looking for unique design inspiration, the show offers a specialized shopping experience in the heart of the Arts District. Ticket are $10. Opening Reception at Craft in America CenterFA > This Saturday, the Craft in America Center hosts a dual opening reception to celebrate its two newest exhibitions, Cowboy Craft: Traditional Art of the West and Marques Hanalei Marzan: Entwine. The first showcase features functional, hand-tooled items from members of the Traditional Cowboy Arts Association, including saddle maker and NEA Fellow Cary Schwarz, while Marzan’s work explores indigenous Hawaiian weaving and fiber arts. Blue Note Jazz FestivalTP > The Hollywood Bowl kicks off its summer calendar with the return of the weekend-long Blue Note Jazz Festival, hosted by comedian Arsenio Hall. Day one on Saturday features a headline performance from Wyclef Jean alongside jazz-fusion supergroup R+R=NOW—comprising Robert Glasper, Terrace Martin, Chief Adjuah, Derrick Hodge, Justin Tyson, and Taylor McFerrin—plus London-based outfits Yussef Dayes and Kokoroko. Then on Sunday, catch performances by R&B legend Patti LaBelle, soulful vocalist Gregory Porter, and rising jazz star Samara Joy. Single-day tickets start at $35. 56th Annual LA Pride ParadeM FA > The biggest event of the weekend is this Sunday’s annual LA Pride Parade brings over 100 joyous contingents to a route covering portions of Hollywood Blvd, Cahuenga Blvd, and Highland Ave. Free to attend. Parade steps off at 11 a.m. Free to attend. More info here.

Fashioning Chinese Women: Empire to Modernity at LACMA -> This Sunday, LACMA debuts its newest exhibition, Fashioning Chinese Women: Empire to Modernity. the evolution of Chinese women’s dress during eras of profound societal change. Drawn entirely from LACMA’s permanent collection, the exhibition showcases over 70 rare garments, guiding visitors from the loose-fitting embroidered robes of the late Qing Dynasty to the sleek, iconic 1930s qipao and the global style of the 1950s cheongsam. The curated looks illuminate a seldom-seen story of how Chinese and Chinese American women navigated changing identities through personal style. Museum general admission tickets cost $30 for L.A. Rossoblu launches Superfine Pizza Garden & Bar -> Rossoblu’s Downtown front patio just got a lot more interesting. The new Superfine Pizza Garden & Bar turns the outdoor space into a casual daytime destination for pizzas, salads, snacks, mini cocktails, beer, and wine. With the World Cup running June 11 through July 19, the timing couldn’t be better. Doors open daily at noon. 

THE WORLD GRUB at Smorgasburg LA (June 14)-> Smorgasburg LA is going all in on the World Cup this Sunday. The World Grub brings together soccer, street food, and global culture for one big day at the market. Ambiente Central opens things up with Central and Latin American music and culture, while game-time specials, themed bar drinks, exclusive giveaways, and limited-edition merch keep the energy going all day. Special collaborations with Hollywood Food Coalition, Prosperity Market, and Orion Beer add to the mix, plus family-friendly activities and a mini soccer pitch for the kids. The games will be on. The Window Santa Monica Opening Promos (June 12-14) -> The Win~Dow brings its signature $4.50 smashburgers to Santa Monica this weekend with a string of opening promos to celebrate. Half-off fries on Friday, $5 breakfast burritos on Saturday, and $1 drinks plus dog treats on Sunday.
