FoLAR’s Fifth Annual River Fest – M FA > On Sunday, Friends of the LA River (FoLAR) invites the public to River Fest a free, all-ages event featuring live performances by local artists, a visual art gallery, a vendor marketplace, eco-friendly family activities, and food trucks. Ticket registration is required to enjoy all the complimentary festivities. It’s free to attend, but a $5 donation is suggested. Starts at 2:30 p.m. More info here.
Self-Care Yoga and Sound Bath at CAAM – M FA > On Sunday, California African American Museum hosts Self Care: Yoga and Soundbath, an indoor wellness session open to all practice levels. The session features a 60-minute yoga flow guided by instructor Constance Hartwell, followed by a 60-minute sound bath led by Sol & Sound. Attendees must bring their own yoga mat. Admission is free. 8th Annual Mundo Maya Day – M FA > MAC LA (formerly Levitt Pavilion Los Angeles) hosts the 8th Annual Mundo Maya Day at the MacArthur Park Bandshell on Sunday. Co-presented with the Mundo Maya Foundation to honor the International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples, the free celebration features music from Baritone Joe and Chapincitos Los Angeles, a ceremonial Danza Azteca performance by General Lazaro Arvizu Xipe Totec, and an interactive Mesoamerican Ball Game presentation by Ajupéme California. The event includes local food vendors, cultural activities, and a free backpack giveaway while supplies last. Admission is free. Concert runs 5 to 8 p.m. More info here.
