Summer is almost here. Time to start planning!

In view for June in Los Angeles you’ll find the 2026 return of Grand Performances, WeHo Pride Street Fair, the River Solstice Festival in Frogtown, an outdoor movie at the Skirball, a World Cup Fan Zone at Union Station, CicLAvia in Leimert Park and Expo Park, Dance DTLA at the Music Center, Pier 360, and more.

Hollywood Fringe Festival (June 4-28) -> The Hollywood Fringe Festival returns this summer bigger than ever, with over 2,000+ performances on the schedule, including comedy shows, ensemble plays, dance performances, and immersive experiences taking over venues like Zephyr Theatre, The Broadwater, and Three Clubs. The main fest runs June 11–28, with previews June 4–9, and an opening night party on June 10. Get more info here.

Frogtown First Fridays (June 5 ) – FA > Frogtown First Fridays is back and celebrating Pride month with special activations at a host of participating venues adjacent to the L.A. River Path. Guests can see new art exhibits, enjoy free or low-cost art activities, giveaways, DJ’s and live music. Runs 5 to 10 p.m. Free to attend. More info here.

Last Remaining Seats (June 6-20) -> The Los Angeles Conservancy’s annual series Last Remaining Seats features classic film screenings in some of Los Angeles’ most beautiful and historic movie theaters. There will be six screenings spread out on June 6, 13, and 20 at the Orpheum Theatre, Los Angeles Theatre, and Million Dollar Theatre. Tickets start at $25 for GA. More info here.

Route 66 Centennial Caravan (June 4) -> The Route 66 Centennial Caravan kicks off its cross-country journey this summer with a free community celebration in Santa Monica. For the first stop, Texas comes to the SoCal shoreline as The Big Texan rolls in with its legendary 72 oz steak challenge in tow. The evening brings Route 66 nostalgia, live entertainment, dancing, local business activations, a kids activity zone, a beer garden, and classic cars from the Petersen Museum. More info here.

Jazz at LACMA (every Friday in June) – FA > The Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s annual Friday Night Jazz series continues this June, offering free weekly concerts at Smidt Welcome Plaza. And remember that LACMA is free to visit for L.A. County Residents (with I.D.) on weekdays after 3 p.m. Music begins at 6 p.m. More info here.

Poolside Movie Nights at Desert 5 Spot (Thursdays in June) -> Hollywood honky-tonk Desert 5 Spot teams up with CINEHAUS for a summer series of cult classic films screened poolside every Tuesday night. Sip cocktails and snack on tacos, popcorn, and candy from the bar, then stick around for live music in the lounge after the credits roll. Tickets are $20.75.

OUTLOUD Music Festival (June 5-7) -> OUTLOUD Music Festival takes over West Hollywood Park for three days of powerhouse performances featuring The Pussycat Dolls, Ava Max, Jade, Blue Man Group, Ashlee Simpson, and more. Friday night is free with registration courtesy of the City of West Hollywood. Saturday and Sunday passes start at $137.22.

The 30th Annual Gilmore Heritage Auto Show (June 6) – FA > The 30th Annual Gilmore Heritage Auto Show comes to the Original Farmers Market. This year’s theme will be Route 66 – America’s Main Street – with a tribute to the cars you would have most likely seen taking a road trip on this iconic highway, American cars of the 1960s. Expect 80+ vehicles on display. Runs 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. More info here.

Grand Performances (starting June 6) – M FA TP > Grand Performances marks 40 years of free summer concerts in DTLA with one of its most eclectic lineups yet. This season spans cumbia, mariachi, Afro-Latin fusion, funk and R&B, Ethiopian and Afrofuturistic jazz, traditional Korean sounds, indigenous rhythms, and more, bringing together artists spanning continents and generations. American Indian Arts Marketplace (June 6-7) -> The Autry’s 34th annual American Indian Arts Festival returns this June, celebrating the rich culture of Native American art and performance. Enjoy live music, traditional dancing, workshops, printmaking, conversations on Indigenous design, and hands-on activities. Event tickets also grants access to all the Autry’s museum galleries. LACMA Latin Sounds (June 6, 13, 20, 27) – M FA > LACMA’s series of Saturday evening, outdoor concerts at Hancock Park (adjacent to the museum campus) continues in June with more world-renowned artists performing everything from Indigenous music to sounds from Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Mexico, Peru, and Los Angeles. The June lineup includes Rush Hour Orquesta, Téka, Roosevelt Cordova, and MAYEYA with Bomba Borikén. Free to attend. Runs 5 to 7 p.m. More info here.

WeHo Pride Street Fair (June 6–7) – FA > The City of West Hollywood’s annual WeHo Pride Street Fair returns with a packed two-day lineup across two outdoor stages. Co-headliner and Hacks actress Meg Stalter brings her signature energy to the stage with her debut single “Prettiest Girl in America,” joined by Willa Ford, Cailin Russo, Say Now, Elio, Shaun Ross, Ve’ondre, A$H, Banoffee, and more.

Jazz in the Park (Sundays in June & July) -> Playhouse Village’s beloved Jazz in the Park series returns every Sunday in June and July from 6 to 8 p.m. on the Van Halen Stage at Playhouse Village Park. Bring a blanket, a low-backed chair, and a picnic from your favorite local spot. Free to attend, first-come, first-served. More info here.

Pride Night at The Aquarium of the Pacific (June 12) – M > In partnership with The LGBTQ Center Long Beach, the Aquarium of the Pacific is celebrating the LGBTQ+ community with an all ages event featuring drag queen storytelling, rainbow themed activities and much more. Outdoor Movies at Skirball Cultural Center (June 12) -> Outdoor Movies at the Skirball: The Punk Singer
Explore the legacy of a feminist punk icon as the Skirball Cultural Center hosts an outdoor screening of the documentary The Punk Singer (2013). The film chronicles the life of musician and activist Kathleen Hanna, frontwoman of Bikini Kill and a pioneer of the 1990s “riot grrrl” movement. Ahead of the screening, singer Allison Wolfe will spin an opening DJ set while the museum doors remain open for evening exhibition viewing. The program concludes with an on-stage conversation featuring Hanna and Ms. magazine Executive Editor Katherine Spillar, moderated by Skirball Chief Curator Cate Thurston. Venice Pride Block Party (June 13) – FA > Venice Pride turns 10 this year and the milestone calls for a proper celebration. The free, all-ages block party features DJs Perfect Lovers and Naté, a queer market, food trucks, live entertainment, and community booths. Keep the party going after with a special Pride Month edition of GAYWATCH (21+), hosted by Barrys at Baja Cantina from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. — all ticket holders receive two complimentary Barry’s classes. Proceeds benefit Venice Pride, a nonprofit using art and events to uplift the local LGBTQ+ community. More info here.

56th Annual LA Pride Parade (June 14) – M FA > The biggest event of the weekend is this Sunday’s annual LA Pride Parade brings over 100 joyous contingents to a route covering portions of Hollywood Blvd, Cahuenga Blvd, and Sunset Blvd Free to attend. Parade steps off at 11 a.m. Free to attend. More info here.
Off the 405 (June 13) – FA > The Getty’s annual after-hours concerts is back for summer of 2026 (one of our annual faves), including a June 13 edition featuring queer garage punk of Hunx and His Punx. You’ll need to pre-register for free to attend, and remember that parking is $10 after 6 p.m. on Saturdays. More info here.

SaMo Pride on the Promenade + Block Fest (June 13) – M FA > The Santa Monica Pride Festival takes over Third Street Promenade featuring a drag brunch, community booths, games, a Santa Monica Public Library pop-up and Rainbow Storytime (noon to 4 p.m.) Following the daytime events, the annual Santa Monica Block Fest offers a free, family-friendly World Cup-themed music festival (5 p.m. to midnight). Both events are free to attend and all ages are welcome. More info here.

Bloomsday 2026 (June 16) – FA > The Hammer celebrates author James Joyce and his novel Ulysses with Bloomsday, a theatrical blend of staged readings and performances all centered around the author’s most iconic work. More info here.

6th Annual Queer Writers Festival (June 20) -> The Queer Writers Festival returns to Olvera Street for its sixth year, in partnership with the Queer Mercado. Spend the day taking in poetry, performances, readings, vendors, and more at the heart of Los Angeles. More info here.

Venice Fest (June 20) – FA > Head to Venice Fest for a day of fun for all ages featuring local bands, yoga, games, and classic cars on display, plus a beer garden and food trucks to refuel. Runs noon to 8 p.m. Free to attend. More info here.

Garagiste Wine Festival (June 20) -> Garagiste Festival is Los Angeles’ only wine festival that exclusively features wines from commercial California ‘garagiste’ winemakers. The wines are poured by the winemakers or owners themselves at the festival offering a rare opportunity to meet the sources behind the wine. Single-person tasting tickets start at $79.74. River Solstice Festival (June 21) – FA TP > This June, LA River Arts presents the River Solstice Festival at Lewis MacAdams Riverfront Park, a free public gathering transforms the Frogtown riverfront into an open-air cultural space featuring live musical sets from harpist Mary Lattimore, singer-songwriter San Cha, and the electronic duo Calycosa. Families can enjoy a whimsical performance by the historic Bob Baker Marionette Theater, while art lovers can browse site-specific installations from a massive roster of featured visual artists, including Adee Roberson and Alex Lukas. Community partners like LA Compost, Herb Club LA, and Senses Coffee Project will also be on-site with interactive activations. Runs 2 to 7 p.m. Free to attend. More info here.

Rodeo Drive Concours d’Elegance (June 21) – FA > Get up-close with some of the world’s most luxurious vehicles at this annual free car show in the heart of Beverly Hills. Free to attend. Runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. More info here.

Under the Sun: Solstice Soundscape with Film, Poetry, & Music (June 21) – FA > Herald the summer solstice with an evening of reflection, poetry, and sound as The Fowler Museum at UCLA hosts Under the Sun. The program opens with a screening of Yáamay: An Ode to Blooming, a lyrical short film centering the lived experiences, memory, and enduring legacies of contemporary California Indigenous women. Following the film, co-directors Camaray Davalos and Casse Kíihut join poet and producer Avelaka Macarro for an onstage conversation. The celebration then moves into the outdoor Fowler Amphitheater for live musical performances by Genevra Munroa, Alexis Munroa, and Andrew Dyer, capping off with sunset poetry readings by Jessa Calderon and Solange Aguilar. DTLA Dog Days (June 25) – M FA > DTLA Dog Days pops up at Maguire Gardens at the Los Angeles Central Library. The free event features dog-friendly vendors, activities, photo ops, live music, and community walks. Runs 4 to 8 p.m. More info here.

BET Experience (June 25-27) ->  The BET Experience returns with four days of music, culture, and community leading up to the 2025 BET Awards. The 2026 lineup features Saturday headliner Mariah the Scientist with additional performances by B2K, Coi Leray, DESTIN CONRAD, Fabolous, G Herbo, Jaewon, kwn, and Larry Juneand more spread at venues including The Beehive, the USC Galen Center, and the Hollywood Bowl More info here.

World Cup Fan Zone at Union Station (June 25-28) – M FA TP > Get into the excitement of World Cup as Los Angeles Union Station transforms into an official Fan Zone featuring live match viewing on giant screens, athlete meet-and-greets, immersive soccer activations, and a steady lineup of live music and food vendors. Admission is free, with the zone opening at 10:30 a.m. daily during the four-day experience. More info here.

Shakespeare By the Sea (starting June 26) – FA > The 28th anniversary season of Shakespeare By the Sea kicks off in June at The Bandshell at Recreation Park in Long Beach with productions of Shakespeare’s Macbeth. All shows are free to attend, but donations are gladly accepted. Performances run at locations throughout L.A. and Orange County through July 25. More info here.

The Music Center’s Dance DTLA (starting June 26) – M FA -> Free evening dance parties return to The Music Center’s Jerry Moss Plaza every Friday from June 26 through August 8. At Dance DTLA, instructors will be on hand to teach guests easy-to-follow steps, allowing everyone to get into the groove right from the jump. The 2026 schedule features seven events each themed for a different style of dance: Bollywood, Afrobeats, Salsa, Cumbia, Reggaeton, and Disco. The event is always free to attend, and always all-ages. Pier 360 (June 27-28) – M FA > This two-day, all-ages, free festival hosted at the Santa Monica Pier features ocean sports competitions, interactive games, a beer garden and plenty of live music on both days. More info here.

TARFEST (June 27) – FA > This June at Pan Pacific Park, LAUNCH LA presents its 23rd annual free multi-disciplinary arts festival, Tarfest: Beacon 250. Expect a vibrant lineup of live musical performances, world-class DJs, live painting showcases, site-specific art installations, and a curated artisan marketplace. Free to attend as always. Monrovia Music Fest (June 28) – FA > The 9th annual Monrovia Music Fest brings a day of family fun to Monrovia Library Park with live band performances, activities, food trucks, and an artisan market. Free to attend. Runs noon to 7 p.m. More info here.

Art Beyond the Glass (June 28) -> Now in its 14th year, Art Beyond the Glass returns to Catch One nightclub with over 100 of LA’s top bartenders showcasing their craft through creative cocktails. Since its inception, the event has raised more than $250,000 for arts-based nonprofits across the country, with this year’s proceeds benefiting the Hollywood Fringe Festival. Tickets start at $52. Listening by Moonrise (June 28) – FA > Clockshop presents a new performance by artist Kiyo Gutiérrez set along the banks of the Los Angeles River. Through movement and sound, Gutiérrez draws attention to the interconnectedness of human and non-human bodies and the river’s layered ecologies, honoring the Pacific lamprey — an ancient fish once abundant in the river, now locally extinct due to urban development. The ritual-performance is accompanied by a soundscape from artist Eva Aguila. Runs 4 to 6 p.m. Free to attend. More info here.

CicLAvia—Leimert Park meets Expo Park (June 28) – M FA > L.A.’s signature open streets event is back for another installment this June, all centered around a 3.6 mile course connecting two of South LA’s most historic neighborhoods, Leimert Park and Exposition Park. Explore local businesses and community activation hubs as your walk/skate/cycle/run at your own pace. Event goes from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free to attend as always. More info here.
