Just because summer is concluding doesn’t mean the outdoor movie season ends too. This is Los Angeles, after all!
Case in point, Barnsdall Park is bringing it’s fun fall screening series to help fund raise funds for the park’s capital projects, art programs, historic renovations and gallery exhibitions.
Every Saturday night starting September 12 and concluding on October 24, guests can enjoy an evening on the west lawn of Frank Lloyd Wrightʼs famed Hollyhock House watching classic films like Groundhog Day, Coming to America, Stand and Deliver, and Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Each event will include prescreening tunes spun by D.J. youNGNoon from 5.30pm till dusk, plus a selection of wines per Dark Horse Wines as well as several local food trucks (TBD) on hand to make sure no one goes hungry.
Tickets cost $25 for movies plus wine tasting (4 pours) or $15 for the movie without beverages.
Event organizers encourage guests to bring a picnic (soft drinks and/or food) and a blanket, however nO outside alcoholic beverages will be permitted. And no dogs either! Keep in mind this fundraiser is a 21+ over event.
Each screening will start at approximately 7:30pm. Check the schedule of movies / dates below:
