There’s a Free Screening of The Sound of Music at the Hammer Museum on Dec. 13

Come Celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Sound of Music with a free screening at the Hammer Museum in Westwood, Sunday December 13, 2015.

Robert Wise’s film adaptation of the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical will screen at the Billy Wilder Theater beginning at 11:00am.

Although the screening is free, it is a ticketed event, so stop by the box office an hour before the show to reserve a ticket.

The screening is brought to us by the Family Flicks Film Series, a UCLA Film & Television Archive and Hammer Museum joint event providing matinee screenings of new and classic family-friendly films from around the world.

Ticketing: Tickets are required and available at the Box Office one hour before the program. General admission tickets are available one per person on a first come, first served basis following member ticketing. Early arrival is recommended. This screening is recommended for ages 6+.

Member Benefit: Members receive priority ticketing (until 15 minutes before the program) by skipping the general admission line and can choose their seats, subject to availability.

Parking: Under the museum, $3 flat rate on weekends (cash only)
