Things are going to get pretty wet out there this weekend. We’ve already seen a few event cancellations, and if you go out this weekend, you’ll want to double check to make sure everything is still on track. That said, there are a few fun to-dos lined up.

This November 14-16 in Los Angeles you’ll find The Music Center’s Innovation Social, Applefest at Benny Boy, Action Star Workout in Santa Monica, a Shepard Fairey exhibition at Beyond the Streets, Angel City Brewery Renaissance Faire, Enchanted Forest of Light at Descanso Gardens, and more.

The Music Center’s Innovation SocialM FA TP > Experience the future of storytelling at The Music Center’s Innovation Social this Friday These free, speakeasy-style gatherings (previously known as the Black Bar Social) feature reality-bending projects that merge performance and technology. The November “Connection Through Movement” iteration includes Aya Umoh’s Rhythmic Wave (Nigerian dance meets digital avatars), Ari Melenciano’s Cosmeage (Pan-African sound and identity), and a film showcasing the Black and Queer aspects of sign language. See NOW Festival -> REDCAT’s annual NOW Festival returns for its 2025 edition, spotlighting nine bold new works in dance, theater, and music from Los Angeles artists. Over three weeks, the festival brings together timely, risk-taking performances exploring themes from immigration to mental health through opera, movement, clowning, and more. L.A. Zoo Lights -> Starting this Thursday, the Los Angeles Zoo’s brightest annual tradition will transform the zoo grounds into a world of light and holiday magic. The after-hours event offers brightly lit displays and festive family-friendly experience every night throughout the entire holiday season. ApplefestFA > Benny Boy Brewing brings the fall feels to L.A. with its 4th annual Applefest Fall Festival, spanning two weekends, including this Saturday and Sunday. The celebration of apples and cider invites guests to help sort, crush, and press apples to make a community cider. The free (21+ only) event offers seasonal sips like hot mulled cider and the first taste of their Pippin Pommeau Batch 3 liqueur. Action Star Workout – > Peacock is taking over Training Mate’s Santa Monica location this Saturday for a special Nobody 2 Action-Star Workout. The Australian-born HIIT studio will host high-energy, full-body classes at 8 a.m., 9 a.m., 10 a.m., and 11 a.m., with founder Luke Milton teaching the later sessions. The workout is designed to deliver an action-star-worthy burn in celebration of the film Nobody 2 streaming on Peacock. The Broad Community Celebration with L.A. Taco M FA TP > The Broad museum hosts a special community celebration this Saturday in Oculus Hall, presented in partnership with L.A. TACO and artist Patrick Martinez. The event will feature a conversation with Martinez, L.A. TACO’s Memo Torres, and recording artist Miguel, discussing how art, music, and journalism define the Los Angeles community. Attendees can enjoy DJ sets from Diego Fuego, Marvelouz, and others, and pick up a free limited-run poster featuring Martinez’s neon artwork. SHEPARD FAIREY: OUT OF PRINT at Beyond the StreetsFA > Beginning this Saturday, Beyond the Streets flagship gallery presents SHEPARD FAIREY: OUT OF PRINT, a landmark exhibition dedicated to the artist’s four-decade relationship with printmaking. The show features more than 400 original screen prints alongside new hybrid works, surveying Fairey’s commitment to the reproducible image and its power to provoke dialogue and spark action. OUT OF PRINT charts Fairey’s evolution from early street interventions to celebrated cultural icons. Max Grossman Studio Tour -> Explore the fascinating world of vintage tools and metal processes at the Max Grossman Studio Tour in West Adams this Saturday, hosted by Craft in America. Attendees can tour Grossman’s industrial studio, where every machine is at least 100 years old. The collection features a full blacksmith shop with power hammers, an iron foundry, and vintage press molds, all used by Grossman—a self-described glassblower and toolmaker—to create tools for glassblowers. Getty Villa Theater Lab: Thieves of CaliforniaFA > Experience the timely and unique theatrical event, Thieves of California, presented as part of the Villa Theater Lab series at the Getty Villa! Set in the year 2031, after California has seceded from the union, this adaptation of Aeschylus’s Seven Against Thebes explores the challenges of making art when the world is crumbling. Autumn Festival at The Aquarium M > This annual two-day event at The Aquarium of the Pacific celebrates Asian culture through traditional craft demonstrations, music, dance, cultural arts exhibits, and storytelling. Enchanted Forest of Light -> Beginning this Sunday, Descanso Gardens’ dazzling winter tradition, Enchanted Forest of Light, returns to illuminate the season from with a wintry spectacle on view through January 4. Wander through a one-mile pathway of large-scale, interactive installations, including the glowing stained-glass cottages by Tom Fruin and the geometric works of HYBYCOZO. New this year are two special ‘Music & Mixology’ nights on December 10th and 11th, featuring live “yacht rock” hits from Yachty by Nature while you sip craft cocktails. Angel City Brewery Renaissance Faire M FA > Hear ye, hear ye! Head to Angel City Brewery this Sunday for a Renaissance Faire offering jousting tournaments, live performances, and medieval games. Guests can enjoy seasonal brews, faire food, and artisan vendors. Don your finest garb—the first 50 guests in costume receive a free stein—for this unique Medieval Fall experience. Family Flicks: The Phantom Tollbooth FA > On Sunday, the Hammer Museum’s Family Flicks series presents a screening of The Phantom Tollbooth. The museum will show the 1970 live-action and animated film, directed by Chuck Jones, in 35mm. The movie follows young Milo and his watchdog Tock as they travel to a magical world where letters and numbers are at war. This fantastical adventure, based on the classic children’s book, is free for all attendees. Parking is available under the museum for an $8 flat rate on weekends. Apple Pan Pie Doughnut at Sidecar -> Sidecar Doughnuts is bringing a holiday twist to a classic LA favorite with the Apple Pan Pie Doughnut, a collaboration with The Apple Pan. This pillowy brioche creation is dipped in vanilla glaze, filled with warm apple pie compote, and topped with whipped cream, caramel, and buttery pie-crust crumbles. A portion of proceeds from each doughnut sold will benefit the Hollywood Food Coalition for their Giving Tuesday efforts supporting immigrants and SNAP recipients. Limited release begins November 14 at all Sidecar locations.

DTLA Oyster Festival Returns to Grand Central Market -> The beloved DTLA Oyster Festival is back this weekend, hosted by The Oyster Gourmet at Grand Central Market.. Slurp your way through fresh oysters from top purveyors, sip cold beer from Skyduster, and add some heat with Zabs hot sauce—all while supporting a good cause. Orange County Coast Keeper will collect and recycle shells to help restore native oyster reefs along the California coast. The festival is free to attend, and you pay as you go.

Redbird’s New Bar Menu Lands in Style -> Redbird just gave its lounge a sleek refresh and rolled out a brand new bar menu worth lingering over. Expect elevated comfort bites like housemade chips with French onion dip, tempura rock shrimp with yuzu kosho tartar, and a wagyu burger dripping with beer cheese, all priced between $4–$22.
