Where to Eat in L.A. For Christmas: 2021 Edition (Takeout & Dine-In)

Whether you’re hosting Christmas at home, tasked to bring something to a gathering or dining out for the holiday, remember that there are lot of creative options available from the talented chefs, bakers and sweets experts in our city to choose from.

Restaurants Serving Christmas Eve & Christmas Menus

Lunetta -> Before Lunetta, Chef Raphael Lunetta and his team had JiRaffe, and this Christmas Eve guests will be treated to a “best-of” list of JiRaffe’s past dishes. For $125 per person the menu starts with a Mushroom Cappuccino amuse with black winter truffles and a three course meal with choices like a JiRaffe Classic Duck Confit, Hand cut New Zealand Red Crab Gnocchi, Jiraffe Classic Bouillabaisse and Sticky Toffee Pudding. Caldo Verde -> Suzanne Goin and Caroline Stynes’ latest restaurant Caldo Verde located inside the Downtown L.A. Proper is offering a family style prix-fixe menu ($95 per person) for Christmas Eve serving a Portuguese meets Californian menu with Porco à Alentejana (braised pork and clams) as the main course. The restaurant will also be open on Christmas with a four course prix-fixe menu that includes Potato Gnocchi with Maine Lobster, Liberty Duck Breast with duck cracklings and a dessert “extravaganza” that includes cookies, macarons, chocolates and other sweets. Spago Beverly Hills -> The Wolfgang Puck restaurant will celebrate Christmas Eve with the “Santa Sisters” holiday carolers, a winter wonderland set up and a three-course “selection” prix fixe menu of seasonal dishes for $195 per person and $75 for children under 10. Guests will also be welcomed with a glass of Ca’Del Bosco. Redbird -> On Christmas Eve Chef Neal Fraser and team will be preparing a three-course prix fixe dinner for $125 per person and an optional wine pairing for $65. Guest will be treated to several choices including a Persimmon Salad with burrata, pomegranate, chicories and cocoa nibs; King Salmon with herb gnocchi, salsify and black trumpets in a port reduction; and Banana Bread Pudding with orange caramel. STK Steakhouse -> STK will be serving a Holiday Prime Rib Special with confit fingerling potatoes, green beans, port wine shallots, and black truffle madera sauce for $75 per person from Dec 24-26. Holiday brunch items like Lobster & Egg Benedict, Smoked Belly Benedict and Hot Chicken & Waffles will also be available on Christmas Day. More info here.

Bardonna -> Bardonna in Santa Monica will be on Christmas Day serving a special Smoked Salmon Benedict and their popular Hot Chocolate Bombs, a handmade festive chocolate globe filled with hot chocolate, sprinkles, and mini marshmallows. The Hot Chocolate Bombs can be enjoy during brunch or taken home for later. More info here.

Wolfgang Puck at Hotel Bel-Air -> The restaurant will host a ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas multi-course menu that ends with a ‘Beignet’ Christmas Tree, as well as a Christmas Day three-course brunch menu, including a dessert buffet and a seasonal cocktail and during Christmas dinner a three-course menu that includes a grand dessert buffet will be offered. Each holiday menu cost $225 per adult and $85 per child under 12. More info here.

LOAM -> LOAM at the Ace Hotel is open for dinner on Christmas offering holiday specials available for dine-in and take-out. Specials include Fried Smelt with sauce gribiche; Clams with linguica, brodo; Roast Porchetta with creamy white beans and salsa verde.

CUT Beverly Hills -> Open on Christmas Eve CUT will serve a three-course prix fixe menu that includes an amuse, your choice of starter such as a King Crab Louie and premium mains like a Dry Aged Rib Eye and Roasted Duck breast. Dessert is also included in the price. A number of sides can be added on for $1 per person. The prix fixe cost $225 per person and $75 for children under six years old. More info here.

Hank’s -> Enjoy a Glazed Ham Prixe Fixe Dinner for $36 that includes four sides, an assortment of sauces and a seasonal fruit tart for dessert. More info here.

Caravan Swim Club -> Hotel June’s Baja-inspired restaurant, Caravan Swim Club will feature a three-course menu for dinner on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The menu cost $85 per person and starts with a winter salad, and continues with entree options such as Braised Pork Belly and Caldo de Siete Mares, the meal ends with Mexican Buñuelos and chocolate sauce. Sugar Palm -> Enjoy a Christmas Sunset Menu at Sugar Palm in Santa Monica. The three-course prix fixe includes a variety of choices for staters, mains and dessert. Highlights include Roasted Honeynut Squash Soup, Rack of Lamb with Peruvian Chili Miso and a vegan Pumpkin Spice Panna Cotta. The menu cost $95 per guest or $79 for the vegan entrée. More info here.

Ardor at The West Hollywood EDITION -> Ardor will be offering Christmas Eve dinner specials that include a Roasted Duck with blood orange jam, crystallized ginger, and shiso; Candy Apple with almond caramel, apple mousse, charcoal meringue and a cider gastrique; and a seasonal Chestnut Mont-Blanc. The Restaurant at Mr. C Beverly Hills -> The Christmas Day menu at the Italian restaurant includes a four course prix-fixe menu with your choice of starter, pasta, main and Panettone with zabaglione cream for dessert for $115 per adult and $45 for children 5-12 years old. More info here.

Broad Street Oyster -> The Malibu spot will be open Christmas Eve and Christmas Day from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. with exclusive holiday merch drops and the best Lobster Rolls in the city.

Wise Sons -> Wise Sons Jewish Deli is open on Christmas Day from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. in Culver City serving up hot pastrami Reubens and breakfast burritos, potato latkes, matzo ball soup, bagels and more.

Hosting at Home or Bringing Something to a Christmas Party

Yardbird -> A Christmas feast with Yardbird’s family package that includes your choice of Rosemary Herb Crusted Prime Rib or Meyer Lemon Roasted Chicken both accompanied with Mac & Cheese, Whipped Mashed Potatoes, Charred Broccolini, Caesar Salad, Buttermilk Biscuits and Pecan Pie. Orders can be placed through Wednesday, Dec. 22 for Christmas Day pickup. More info here.

Randy’s Donuts -> Donuts are always a hit, especially paired with a cup of coffee, this season consider picking up Randy’s festive donut flavors for any gathering. Featured donuts include a Peppermint Candy Cane Twist with glaze topped with vanilla or red icing, red drizzle and crushed peppermint candies and a Holiday Sprinkles Raised Donut topped with sprinkles and glazed. Maple Block -> The Culver City restaurant known for their wood-smoked meats will offer a limited amount of peach wood-smoked meats, sides and sweets for Christmas take out. This year guest can choose from a Maple Glazed Berkshire Ham Package, Meat Sampler Package, and Chicken Package. Orders must be placed by Dec. 21 for curbside pick-up on Dec. 24. More info here.

Dear Bella Creamery -> Dear Bella Creamery is offering an ice cream version of the Buche de Noel, the holiday yule log is made with gluten chocolate cake rolled up and filled with dairy-free vanilla ice cream. The Yule log is then frosted with a chocolate ganache, topped with snow-like shredded coconut and topped with all natural maraschino cherries. The Buche de Noel cost $45, pre-order cut off is Dec. 21 with pick up now till Dec. 23. More info here.

Lunetta -> If the Lunetta holiday menu you read above (JiRaffe Classic Duck Confit, et al) sounds good but you don’t want to dine in, the same meal can be ordered for take out by directly calling the restaurant. More info here.

STK Steakhouse -> The steakhouse is offering a Prime Rib package for one at $70 and a package that serves two for $139, additional servings can also be added on for an additional $70 per serving. A la carte items like Sweet Corn Pudding and the Mac & Cheese Trio are also available for takeout and delivery.
