Opening Celebration + KCRW Summer Nights at LA Plaza -> This Saturday, LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes celebrates the opening of their new exhibition A Great Day in East L.A.: Celebrando the Eastside Sound with an afternoon of family activities, including artmaking, a percussion jam session, and curator led tours. The celebration carries into the evening as KCRW Summer Nights partners for a community concert featuring The Altons. The exhibition celebration begins at noon. Mid City Arts + Music Festival – FA > On Saturday, the 4th annual Mid City Arts + Music Festival brings a free, all-ages community celebration to the neighborhood adjacent to the intersection of Washington Blvd and West Blvd. Over 7,000 guests are expected to attend an event featuring multiple stages of live music and performance, plus a roller rink pop-up, beer garden, food trucks, vendors, a kid’s space, and more. East Side Print Fair – FA > The East Side Print Fair returns to Plaza de la Raza this Saturday for their Biennial Printmaking celebration, all centered around the theme of Joy as Resistance.
