Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there! If you want to make this Sunday a memorable one (and already have plans) then we’re happy to help you sort it out, from brunches and concerts to free admission at a few museums.

Here’s how we break it down below: One great idea where you can get there by Metro, three top picks to point you in the right direction, and six other quick ideas for those who just need lots of options. Whatever you decide on, hope you make it a good one!

Make Metro Part of Your Weekend

Every Wednesday we map out a guide to the best things to do for the weekend taking L.A. Metro. For this Sunday, we recommend checking out the 626 Night Market Mini, which returns to Downtown Santa Monica this Saturday and Sunday with a scaled-down version of their popular Asian-fusion food market. The open-air food event includes over two dozen vendors offering an array of dishes and an alcohol garden for attendees 21 years and older. The market is free to attend (though capacity is limited). Starts at 1 p.m. on both days. More info here.

The Lounge Art Ensemble will perform this Sunday and there will be two separately ticketed sets; one at 3 p.m. and the other at 5 p.m. An artists reception bridges the shows at 4 p.m. Tickets are $55. The series takes place once a month from May through October. More info here.

Free Admission at UPAM -> The USC Pacific Asia Museum is offering free admission everyday in May to celebrate AAPI Heritage Month. In addition to UPAM’s courtyard and permanent collections, guests can peruse their newest exhibition Global Asias, which features contemporary works from over a dozen artists of Asian heritage.
