Make Metro Part of Your Weekend

55th Annual LA Pride ParadeM FA > The biggest event of the weekend is this Sunday’s annual LA Pride Parade & Block Party, which runs along portions of Hollywood Blvd, Cahuenga Blvd, Sunset Blvd, and Highland Ave. The event will include over a hundred floats, and tens of thousands of spectators, plus a Hollywood Blvd street fair from Argyle to mid-Bronson Ave. Free to attend. Parade steps off at 11 a.m.

Go Metro: Take the B or D Line to Hollywood/Highland or Highland/Vine.

Puppets in the ParkM FA > On Sunday, the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs and Bob Baker Marionette Theater Join present a magical morning of puppetry on Hollyhock House’s west lawn. There will be two 30-minute shows (9:30 and 11 a.m.) buffered by by art activities led by Barnsdall Junior Arts Center instructors. It’s all free to attend, no ticket required. More info here.

Monrovia Music FestFA > The 8th annual Monrovia Music Fest brings a day of family fun to Monrovia Library Park this Sunday with live band performances, activities, food trucks, and an artisan market. Free to attend. Runs noon to 7 p.m. More info here.
