
For fans of Hayao Miyazaki, there’s no better place in than The Ford to celebrate the acclaimed Japanese director’s work, and the legacy of the animation studio that he co-founded.
From July 25-27, The Natural World of Studio Ghibli celebrates explorations of natural environments, our relationship with nature, and the spiritual aspect of the natural world through three select films from the studio’s catalogue, all screened in Japanese with English subtitles set in the natural outdoor beauty of The Ford.
Miyazaki’s films invite audiences into fantastical worlds, filled with memorable characters, heartfelt storytelling, and iconic scores by Joe Hisaishi that have earned Academy Awards and fans worldwide. The lineup for the series includes The Boy and the Heron on July 25 at 8 p.m., Howl’s Moving Castle on July 26 at 8 p.m., and The Wind Rises on July 27 at 7:30 p.m. Each screening will hosted by film critic and writer Carlos Aguilar and featuring trivia with prizes provided by Super Yaki.
