We’ve previously discussed how The Music Center is one of your best bets for recurring family friendly (and free!) programming, exemplified by their annual Dance DTLA series. Below, another great chance to take advantage of what they have to offer.

The Music Center’s Very Special Arts Festival is back on May 3 (today!) with an inclusive event celebrating the artistic achievements of students with all abilities. The festival features student and professional performances, visual and performing arts workshops, student art exhibits, and Taiko drumming lessons. There will be dozens of activities in total, all taking place at Jerry Moss Plaza, all free to enjoy. Also, concurrent with this year’s event, you can hop over to Grand Park to check out the LAUSD Arts Fest, which runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the same day. Make it a day for family!
