FREE Day at LACMA on Monday for MLK Holiday

There are multiple events scheduled throughout Los Angeles on Monday to honor the memory and achievements of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., including the annual “Cake For King” community celebration at the California African American Museum as well as the 31st annual Kingdom Day Parade.

One offer you’ll definitely want to have on your radar is happening over at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

Thanks to the folks over at Target, LACMA will offer free admission starting at 11:00am for any and all visitors to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

In addition to the waived admission fee, the day will feature bilingual tours of the galleries, family sketching activities, and live music by The California Feetwarmers and California Feetwarmers Dancers playing a selection of ragtime, Dixieland Blues, and swing tunes.

Two separate performance times are scheduled by the Feetwarmers, the first at 12:30pm and the follow-up at 2:45pm.

Guests should note that the free entry excludes admission to specially ticketed exhibitions. Also, because of high demand, tickets to the Boone Children’s Gallery onMonday will be timed and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
