So There’s a Weekly Beer Garden Popping Up in Griffith Park This Summer

As if you needed another excuse to go chill out in Griffith Park on a Saturday!

Starting on the second weekend of May there’s a new weekly beer garden, aptly called the Griffith Park Beer Garden, coming to the patio of the Roosevelt Cafe located on Vermont Ave near the southern edge of the park. The Saturday-only event will feature specialty pours of local brews combined with cafe fare and a bonus deal in conjunction with Farmer John.

The featured Beer Garden combo is a pour of four 6oz beers paired with a Farmer John sausage. The beer-sausage combo will run patrons $20, if they so choose to indulge. Among the local breweries supplying offerings include Iron Triangle, Garage, and Coronado, among others. And of course if sausage isn’t your fave, you can always order off the rest of the Roosevelt Cafe’s menu, which includes pizza, soups, salads, sandwiches, and breakfast all day.

In addition to the brews and bites, the Beer Garden will have a DJ on hand spinning tunes from 4 to 8 p.m. each week.

The Griffith Park Beer Garden kicks off with an opening day party starting at noon on Saturday, May 13. The launch event will feature a DJ starting around 4:30 p.m., and is scheduled to end around 8:30.

Following the opening event, the Beer Garden will run on Saturdays through October.

The Roosevelt Cafe is located at 2650 N Vermont Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90027.
