Hauser Wirth & Schimmel is Launching a FREE Weekly Music Series in the Arts District

Hauser Wirth & Schimmel, a massive new art gallery opened earlier this year in the Arts District, will be offering a brand new ‘After 5’ weekly music series thats set to run all summer long starting in the final week of May.

Guests will be able to enjoy a mix of live bands and DJ sets, craft cocktails from The Spare Room, plus Russian hand-pies from the Airstream kitchen of Pirozhki LA.

You can also shop at the ARTBOOK bookstore or peruse current exhibitions, such as ‘Revolution in the Making: Abstract Sculpture by Women, 1947 – 2016‘ before heading out to the courtyard to enjoy the tunes and atmosphere.

The new music events will run every Thursday between 5 to 8 p.m. starting on May 26 and running through September 1.

So far the lineup has been confirmed through June 23 (we’ll update this post as more performers are confirmed).

June 9: DJ Son Zoo

June 16: Sara Lov

June 23: Moon Uterus

June 30: Madame Gandhi

July 7: Anthony Valadez

Hauser Wirth & Schimmel is the sixth location of Hauser & Wirth, an international gallery devoted to contemporary and modern art, founded in Switzerland in 1992 by Iwan and Manuela Wirth and Ursula Hauser. Today it is a global enterprise with spaces in Zürich, London, New York, Somerset, and Los Angeles.

The Arts District location is open Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00am to 6:00pm, and is open on Thursdays from 11:00am to 8:00pm.
