Food lovers unite!

This coming Labor Day weekend LA Times: The Taste returns for its annual celebration of the SoCal food scene in a three-day event that’s sure to be as impressive a display of culinary excellence as anything you’ll find all year in the city of angels.

And if the sneak preview Christina and I attended last week at the LA Times test kitchen is any indication, the food/drink served up is going to be (no surprise) superb.

Chef Michael Fiorelli (Love & Salt), Master Bartender Vincenzo Marianella, Chef Gary Menes (Le Comptoir), Chef Carlos Salgado (Taco María) and Chef Corina Weibel (Canelé) join The Times’ Food staff as co-hosts of the festivities, which will feature five distinct events all held at the Paramount Pictures Studios backlot starting with Friday’s opening night.

Special features of the weekend include a ‘root to table’ roundtable, a special dinner hosted by Jonathan Gold, demos from Love & Salt’s Fiorelli and Marianella, Roy Choi, Curtis Stone and more, plus unlimited tastings and pours at all events.

Opening Night tickets are $150. Tickets for each of the Saturday and Sunday events range from $100 to $125, and a $25 discount on individual tickets is available exclusively to Los Angeles Times subscribers.

All tickets via the LA Time website, and all events are 21+ only.
