What’s this?!?

Oh, you know, just a perfect way to spend your All Hallows’ Eve in the city of angels.

Grab some friends, get yourself dressed up in your most Tim Burton-y costume, and head on over to the Hollywood Bowl where Danny Elfman, along a supporting cast of singers and full orchestral backing, will perform songs from The Nightmare Before Christmas during a special Halloween night screening of the (wow this makes me feel old) classic Disney film.

The night promises to be an immersive experience, with The Bowl completely transformed into a Halloween Town for the event and guests partaking in special pre-show activities including an audience costume contest.

And of course then there’s the music.

If you somehow forget the delightfulness of The Nightmare Before Christmas, here’s a quick snippet:

And for sake of comparison here is Danny Elfman performing songs from the movie last Halloween at Nokia Theater:

Ok, so details…

The event takes place on October 31 at 8:15pm. at the Hollywood Bowl, and pre-sale tickets are available as of the writing of this post via Ticketmaster, though you need an offer code to unlock those.

General public ticket sales start this Friday, September 18 at 12:00pm.

DISCOUNTS: Our friends over at Goldstar have a limited supply of discounts available for select sections at the Bowl for this event (between $10 and $20 off), so I’d advise shopping and comparing before making your final purchase. But I have a suspicion this show will sell out, so grab ’em early!

UPDATE: A second show has been added on November 1 so if Halloween is sold out, you can still check out that evening.

Oh, and as always, enjoy!
