Did somebody say lobsta…?
This weekend in the South Bay you can get all your crustaceous cravings fulfilled at the 20th annual Redondo Beach Lobster Festival at Seaside Lagoon.
So what can you expect?
This year’s signature chef, Jessica Jordan of FISHBAR (in Manhattan Beach), will be behind the scenes serving lobster and steak dinners, along additional small plates at the lobster bistro.
For those who really want to go big, there will also be a VIP New England-Style Main Lobster Boil prepared by Kincaid’s, which can be purchased for parties from two to ten (this thing looks big) that includes a shrimp cocktail, Cajun sausage, a corn on the C obb, and a 25 lb. fresh, Maine Lobster (boom!).
Of course you’ll need something to wash down all that food, so guests will be able to enjoy tons of options at the craft beer tent including the likes of Goose Island, Shock Top, Kona Brewing Co., Strand Brewing, El Segundo Brewing Co., and more!
Additional entertainment includes a full slate of musical performances, plus fun extras like stand-up paddle board lessons and a kiddie area with face painting / balloon art on both Saturday and Sunday.
Keep in mind entry passes do not include food, unfortunately.
You can purchase a 3-day pass for $35 or do just one day for $15. Dinner plates can also be pre-ordered online (with some savings benefits). Here’s the link to the official ticketing page.
Pro-tip: Goldstar has a limited supply of discounted tickets available for sale on individual days at the Lobster Fest (you can save about $7 if you include fees), so be sure to compare prices before you make any purchase.
The 2015 Redondo Beach Lobster Festival will take place at Seaside Lagoon from September 25-27.
The festival will be open Friday from 6:00pm-11:00pm, Saturday from 12:00pm to 11:00pm, and Sunday from 12:00pm to 8:00pm.
Seaside Lagoon is located at 200 Portofino Way, Redondo Beach, CA 90277.
