Who’s up for some late-night fun at Grand Central Market?
Starting on June 3 GCM will be stepping up their dinner game staying open late until 10 p.m. with select vendors offering evening-only specials and food creations.
Per Jenn Harris of the L.A. Times, the vendors who are slated to participate in the late-night fun include McConnell’s Fine Ice Cream, La Tostaderia, Golden Road, Bar Moruno, Belcampo Meat Co., Chiles Secos, Sticky Rice II, Valerie, China Cafe, Courage & Craft, Berlin Currywurst, DTLA Cheese and Kitchen, Horse Thief BBQ, Jose Chiquito, Ramen Hood, La Huerta, Olio, the Oyster Gourmet, Roast to Go, Sticky Rice, Knead & Co Pasta Bar + Market, Las Morelianas and Madcapra.
And for those wondering… no, Egg Slut is not one of the vendors participating in the late-night hours.
Highlights for the late-night specials include a queso dip from DTLA Cheese plus an alcohol-infused ice cream flavor from McConnells (whiskey and pecan praline spiked with some good old Kentucky Bourbon).
In addition to the late hours, vendors are also planning a range of specials for a market-wide happy hour scheduled to take place from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Oh, and if the food isn’t enough to entice you, guests can also look forward to a slew of regularly scheduled summer programming at the market including movie nights every Wednesday on the Horse Thief BBQ patio, DJs on Fridays, live music on Saturdays and Sundays, a monthly Artists & Fleas market running on the second Thursday parallel to the DTLA Art Walk, and of course game nights on the first Thursday of every month (bust out your board games!).
Keep in mind a free shuttle service is also available that can take you directly from GCM to Staples Center, the Music Center, or the Orpheum Theatre.
Current hours for Grand Central Market are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday to Wednesday, and 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday to Saturday.
Starting on June 3 the market will stay open till 10 p.m. nightly, with new hours lasting through Sept. 22.
