Get out your stretchy pants because it’s going to be one epic food week!

DineLA is back for 2017 starting this Friday with exclusive lunch and dinner menus from some of the city’s top restaurants at special prices.

If you can’t wait till the weekend to go on a food tasting adventure, then you’ll be happy to know Santa Monica Restaurant Week and Pasadena Cheeseburger Week are already in full swing (more details below).

Keep in mind there are also lots of food-centric parties going down this week, including Fat Tuesday at Sassafras and a Tiki themed-bash at Frankie’s Bar.

Oh, and perhaps the most important news of all… Monday marked the start of National Pizza Week!

dineLA Restaurant Week

dineLA Restaurant Week is back from Jan. 13 through Jan. 27 with two weeks of special prix-fixe menus from top restaurants across Los Angeles. Check back to our website later this week as I’ll have a rundown of some of my top picks.

Santa Monica Restaurant Week

Santa Monica Restaurant Week will take place from Jan. 9 to 15  and will feature 21 of the area’s best restaurants showcasing the beach city’s vibrant food scene through one selected ingredient. This year’s star ingredient is the humble radish.

Redondo Beach Restaurant Week

Redondo Beach Restaurant Week takes place from Jan. 13 to 27, and will feature 14 eateries from the beach city’s burgeoning food scene. All participating restaurants will offer either specially priced prix-fixe lunches and/or dinners, or other Restaurant Week-only specials.

Cheeseburger Week in Pasadena

The city of Pasadena will host Cheeseburger Week with 40 restaurants in participation offering burger specials all over the city from Jan. 8 to Jan 13.

A free food festival

GrubMarket will host Locavore Fest, a celebration of food and culture on Saturday Jan. 14 at Hatchet Hall in Culver City. The festival invites guests to meet and greet with their local farmers, hear their stories, and learn about the origins of their food. Guests will also hear about the latest food trends and tips for making healthy eating choices. There will be samples from local artisans, a wine and beer garden, live music, kids’ activities, and more.

Tiki party at E.P.&L.P.

Frankie’s Private Bar, the ultra-glamorous rooftop drinkery atop West Hollywood’s E.P.&L.P., celebrates the release of their new special-edition tiki mugs during a special evening called “Where Tiki Lives” on Wednesday Jan. 11. The launch party will feature classic tiki drinks all evening, and complimentary passed chicken sliders from 7 to 8 p.m.

Celebrate National Pizza Week

Yup pizza gets a week of celebrations! Wood in Silver Lake are offering up $9 Margherita pizzas all day, every day this week. That’s a pretty sweet deal.

It’s Fat Tuesday every week at Sassafras Saloon!

NOLA inspired bar Sassafras Saloon will introduce a revamped cocktail menu and nightly events every Tuesday through Friday starting Jan. 24 with Fat Tuesday. The kick off party will be in true Big Easy style with exotic entertainment, sizzling live music, mind bending magicians, mystical absinthe fairies and Bourbon Street style cocktails.

FrankieLucy’s opens this Saturday!

Kristine de la Cruz of Crème Caramel LA and Annie Choi of Found Coffee have come together in a sweet way opening FrankieLucy Bakeshop on Sunset Blvd. The grand opening will take place this Saturday Jan. 14 from noon to 6 p.m. and they’ll be giving away complimentary, mini ube pavlovas and offering $1 drip coffee. The BenAddictz will also be there from noon to 3 p.m. selling Chicken Adobo Benedicts and Mushroom Adobo Benedicts.

Taco Tuesdays and more at 33 Taps

Silver Lake sports bar 33 Taps is all about specials lately. Every Tuesday is Taco Tuesday with $9 all you can eat chicken, fish or veggie tacos. And, if you’re looking for a place with bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Mary’s before 3 p.m. on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday, look no further 😉

There’s a Janis Joplin Burger

Hopdoddy Burger Bar’s will feature a Janis Joplin Burger available Jan. 9 to Jan. 22. The burger features a house made hemp seed patty topped with cheddar cheese, sunflower sprouts, avocado, basil pesto and horseradish honey mustard on a whole wheat bun. The seasonal special will only be available at the El Segundo and Playa Vista locations.

elysian includes dinner!

There is lots going on with David Thorne’s gorgeous project elysian. The Elysian Valley spot just remodeled their bar, expanded the cocktail program, introduced new hours and a seasonal dinner menu. The new schedule includes dinner service Wednesday through Saturday, an anti-#sad! time (aka happy hour) on Fridays and Saturdays (5 to 6:30 p.m.) featuring rotating drink specials and snacks. Look out for a handful of special events with non-profit partners, Clockshop, a monthly live music series, a weekly DJ series and guest chef dinners.

Insecure takes over The Den

HBO’s hit series is celebrating their season one digital release by throwing a party at The Den on Tuesday Jan. 10. There will be a special happy hour with themed out cocktails like “Bish Please” “Boozy AF” and “Insecuri-tea” and some AF photo booth opps. Event takes place from 6 to 9 p.m.

Whiskey Dinner at Hudson House

Hudson House and Hudson Whiskey are partnering for a Whiskey Dinner on Monday, Jan. 16. Top Chef alumna Chef Brooke Williamson and her husband Chef Nick Roberts, will pair various Hudson Whiskey expressions with a 6-course tasting menu of seafood, fresh produce and Shepard’s Pie. Tickets cost $85 per person.
