Common Ground Dinner: A Community Meal for Civil Rights -> On Tuesday, The Skirball Cultural Center’s special series of shared meals continues with another evening celebrating enduring power of solidarity, allyship, connection, and collective action in Los Angeles. In addition to also features an appearance from Common Ground creator Adam Silverman and music and spoken word poetry from DJ and artist Austin Antoine. Tickets are $90. In Dreams: A Musical Tribute to David Lynch – M > This Wednesday at Lodge Room in Highland Park, a slew of contributing artists take to the take in a Musical Tribute to David Lynch. Doors open at 7 p.m., show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $18. More info here.
The Autry After Hours | You Have Died of Dysentery -> Any The Autry continues its ongoing series after-hours cultural events with a presentation by Sarah Keyes, author of American Burial Ground, who will discuss the grim reality of of death on the Overland Trail. Guests can play the iconic computer game (in various forms) as part of the evening’s programming. Admission is $18 for adults. Runs 6 to 9 p.m. More info here.
A Nine Inch Nails Photography Exhibition by Jonathan Rach – FA TP > This Thursday to Sunday, Jonathan Rach, award-winning documentary photographer and longtime Nine Inch Nails collaborator, debuts his Self Destruct Tour photography in the U.S. After successful runs in Australia and the UK, the exhibition captures the raw energy of NIN’s 1994–96 global tour, celebrating 30 years of The Downward Spiral. Running March 6–9, the pop-up features an album playback on March 7 and an artist talk on March 8. More info here.
NHM First Fridays – M > Natural History Museum’s signature monthly series returns for 2025 this Friday with an emphasis on sound and music. The event includes DJ sets in the nature garden, pop-up sound experiences throughout the museum, plus a discussion on the science behind healing sounds. First Fridays in Bixby Knolls – FA > The March edition of First Fridays along Atlantic Ave in Long Beach will be a Women’s History Month. Expect live music, women-led art art, and extended hours at participating businesses. Runs 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. More info here.
The Bruin Flea – FA > The Bruin Flea is back at Broxton Plaza in Westwood Village this Friday, wrangling a collection of local vendors offering everything from jewelry and collectibles to vintage clothing, streetwear, pins, stickers and more. Central Sounds at GCM – M FA > Dank Radio’s Nativity brings two hours of vibey DJ sets to Grand Central Market this Friday as part of Music at the Market every First Friday of the month. The set goes from 6 to 8 p.m., and will staged at the GCM Info Desk. Get more info here.
First Fridays at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA – M FA > To celebrate their March edition of Friday Fridays, MOCA presents a special in-gallery performance of works by John Cage, Alvin Lucier, György Kurtág, Luciano Berio, and J.S. Bach, performed by Colburn School students Rebecca Beato, Dawid Kasprczak, Tom Mantel, and Serge Kalinovsky within the exhibition Olafur Eliasson: OPEN. Chinatown First Fridays – M FA > L.A.’s Chinatown stays open late for an evening of exploring the unique small businesses, restaurants, bars and contemporary art and culture spaces that make up the historic neighborhood. Eat + Drink West Hollywood -> Eat + Drink West Hollywood returns for a month-long celebration of the city’s diverse restaurant scene. Throughout March, Visit West Hollywood will donate $1 per reservation made at any West Hollywood restaurant or bar (up to $10,000) to Restaurants Care, supporting hospitality workers affected by the recent LA wildfires. Through the WeHo Gives Back initiative, diners can also contribute via QR codes at participating venues. Every West Hollywood restaurant is included, from Italian favorite Stella to plant-based eatery The Butcher’s Daughter and Fiesta Cantina, home of the 36-ounce margarita. More info here.
Hot Burger & Pad Thai Nights at Holy Basil Atwater Village -> Holy Basil’s Atwater Village location is elevating Monday nights with a lineup of bold, comforting specials. Each week, they’re serving up dishes like the Hot Burger, featuring a double patty of Snake River Farms Wagyu beef blended with Salmon Creek Farms ground pork, melted American cheese, fish sauce, Thai basil, and fermented habanero aioli.
